Samoan Crab Ravioli - Hawai’i Camp, Catch and Cook in with Kimi Werner - Mud Crab - Mangrove Crab

Kimi Werner takes Buddy for a mother-son adventure with some of her best friends. They play hard and gather food from the sea, with the main feast being giant Samoan crabs! Also known as mangrove or mud crabs, Kimi and friends cook their catches over an open fire and enjoy this wild meal together. Kimi brings home a few extra Samoan crabs to try her hand at traditional Italian pasta making as she attempts homemade crab ravioli! She is joined by more friends for pasta making as Buddy gets a visit from one of his best baby pals, Kani. Lots of cute babies and pasta eating galore!

Does not matter the shape - the fillings are what makes it delicious! Cooking the pasta for the right ‘al dente’ - seals the deal 😁. The wonton wrapper would be much softer and ‘limp’ after cooking, but that’s ok as you would be eating dumpling instead 😊. If you fry those, it will be like gyoza - dip it in malt vinegar with few thin slices of ginger - hits the spot!! Love those crabs 💝

Helpful tips - brush water on the edges of the pasta sheets to “glue” the layers together and use less filling. Ask me why I know 😂😂😂

Great video. I have made homemade ravioli with blue crabs which is found here in Florida. The sauce I make is more like a lemon zest . Using 2 Tablespoons olive oil 6 Tablespoons butter 4 cloves garlic minced 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes salt and pepper to taste 1 teaspoon italian seasoning 4 cups baby spinach 1/2 cup parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoons parsley chopped 1 Tablespoon lemon juice Which is paradise. Saute all these then pour over the noodles
