We then see the two fighters fly in and fly over the Venator class destroyer (which is arguably one of the coolest ships to me). Then the camera pans over the destroyer and we see the chaos of war of Coruscant. So fucking cool. Just thinking about it gets me so excited. edit: Also the music in this part of the movie is great

1. There were support braces under the walkway that landed on Obi-Wan. Took me a few viewings to notice that and wonder why Obi-Wan wasn't crushed. 2. Only Anakin and Palpatine know exactly how Dooku was killed. The half of the ship his body was on broke off and presumably burned up in the atmosphere or crashed into the planet (ouch) or just straight blew up. It could be stuck in a decaying orbit, allowing it to be searched and his body to be found, but considering the front half was dragged down by the gravity of the planet, I think it's safe to assume the back half was as well. 3. Palpatine heavily relies on force visions of the future to orchestrate his plans. However, it's NOT implied that he understands, and plans for, that the future is always in motion and visions seen may not come true. Or perhaps, the dark side of the force is better capable of seeing the "actual" future. 4. TBH, I stopped paying attention with about an hour left.

You have to remember that the Jedi and Sith can both see visions of the future. The only difference is; the Jedi don't put as much stock in those visions because the future is always changing. Whereas with the Sith; they try to use those visions to force the future into their own making. That's what the Emperor was trying to do. He could sense Anakin's power; then tried to see his future to manipulate it to his ends. The story is just so convoluted; it seems ridiculous that he knew what he was doing, verse it just being chance.

Star Wars overall is awesome. I find it nearly impossible to hate it on any level. I used to despise the prequels, but this last rewatch was very cool and I found myself appreciating many aspects to some degree; I at least respect the effort and the concepts, even if the execution is lacking. And this one has the most going for it. Great action, good acting (in some parts), closure, Palpatine hamming it up like he should, and true darkness and stakes.

Why should Palpatine be hamming it up? He is supposed to be the mastermind villain with awesome charisma yet comes across as a joke and a pantomime villain

His evil plan, many years in the making is brilliant and he pulls one over the entire Galaxy, and yet he plays the stoic politician all the way through. His entire scene with Anakin at the Opera is probably the best scene of the prequels, the surefire seduction of Anakin through his weaknesses, after years caring and grooming him for this moment. The problems in continuity regarding Owen Lars, is that during the making of A New Hope he was supposed to be Obi-Wan's brother, not Anakin's, but Lucas inexplicably changed it for the PT. Again, Lucas makes a retcon for no good reason that causes a huge inconsistency in logic.

Can't believe me and Kevin are on the same page, but the entire series should have been rebooted/remade by Disney BEFORE they made Episodes 7 through 9. Give us a good prequel, with the names of Luke and Leia hidden so that way the next generation of audiences coming in fresh could have the "I'm your father" experience all over again, have a cast that could be in multiple movies over the entire saga, and give us the post death of the Emperor years rather than skipping that very interesting time period and making the OT pointless as the new trilogy has done.
