The cgi held up way better than I thought it would. Line delivery/quipping was ok-good. Buzz Droids shouldn't haven't been an issue for force users (I'm not satisfied by can't-Force-through-glass lmao). Minor gripe: the buzz droid artoo killed getting 'blown' off the wing of the Jedi star fighter in *space* really annoyed me, as a fan of Science With Kev. All in all, pretty solid opening. The imminent star destroyer shenanigans blow though.

This movie has the absolute best intro in my opinion. The standard view of space followed by the slow drums. We then see the two fighters fly in and fly over the Venator class destroyer (which is arguably one of the coolest ships to me). Then the camera pans over the destroyer and we see the chaos of war of Coruscant. So fucking cool. Just thinking about it gets me so excited. edit: Also the music in this part of the movie is great

1. There were support braces under the walkway that landed on Obi-Wan. Took me a few viewings to notice that and wonder why Obi-Wan wasn't crushed. 2. Only Anakin and Palpatine know exactly how Dooku was killed. The half of the ship his body was on broke off and presumably burned up in the atmosphere or crashed into the planet (ouch) or just straight blew up. It could be stuck in a decaying orbit, allowing it to be searched and his body to be found, but considering the front half was dragged down by the gravity of the planet, I think it's safe to assume the back half was as well. 3. Palpatine heavily relies on force visions of the future to orchestrate his plans. However, it's NOT implied that he understands, and plans for, that the future is always in motion and visions seen may not come true. Or perhaps, the dark side of the force is better capable of seeing the "actual" future. 4. TBH, I stopped paying attention with about an hour left.

I truly unapologetically love this movie. I love the first act with Dooku, Anakin, and Obi-Wan. It felt like a Star Wars opening to me for the first time in the prequels. While the middle is rough, I think the ideas that they pursue are great. And, then, once Order 66 happened, it gets right back to the movie I love. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You have to remember that the Jedi and Sith can both see visions of the future. The only difference is; the Jedi don't put as much stock in those visions because the future is always changing. Whereas with the Sith; they try to use those visions to force the future into their own making. That's what the Emperor was trying to do. He could sense Anakin's power; then tried to see his future to manipulate it to his ends. The story is just so convoluted; it seems ridiculous that he knew what he was doing, verse it just being chance.

Star Wars overall is awesome. I find it nearly impossible to hate it on any level. I used to despise the prequels, but this last rewatch was very cool and I found myself appreciating many aspects to some degree; I at least respect the effort and the concepts, even if the execution is lacking. And this one has the most going for it. Great action, good acting (in some parts), closure, Palpatine hamming it up like he should, and true darkness and stakes.
@tarekahmed992

@@tarekahmed992 To me he has AMAZING charisma. Up to the point where he reveals himself he is very subdued. His evil plan, many years in the making is brilliant and he pulls one over the entire Galaxy, and yet he plays the stoic politician all the way through. His entire scene with Anakin at the Opera is probably the best scene of the prequels, the surefire seduction of Anakin through his weaknesses, after years caring and grooming him for this moment. And when he wins, his unbriddled enthusiasm is a sight to behold, in my opinion. He goes up to eleven and is joyous!!

The problems in continuity regarding Owen Lars, is that during the making of A New Hope he was supposed to be Obi-Wan's brother, not Anakin's, but Lucas inexplicably changed it for the PT. Again, Lucas makes a retcon for no good reason that causes a huge inconsistency in logic.

Can't believe me and Kevin are on the same page, but the entire series should have been rebooted/remade by Disney BEFORE they made Episodes 7 through 9. Give us a good prequel, with the names of Luke and Leia hidden so that way the next generation of audiences coming in fresh could have the "I'm your father" experience all over again, have a cast that could be in multiple movies over the entire saga, and give us the post death of the Emperor years rather than skipping that very interesting time period and making the OT pointless as the new trilogy has done.

Yoda cut off his rat tail during the 2d animated series that's no longer Canon. Which is dumb because they introduced Grievous and Mace crushes his chest/wind pipe. Which is why he's caughing in the beginning of the movie. The 2D show ends right where III begins.

It was cool when Anakin is fighting dooku, you can see palpatine smiling in the background. Very reminiscent of ROTJ

Read the Revenge of the Sith book by Matthew Stover. I read it before the movie came out and it was absolutely phenomenal. It's everything that this movie should have been. And I'm not a reader haha but it's so worth it if you love star wars.

I've never liked this movie, but Nick is wrong about so many things that it's actually making me want to defend it. And that is quite a feat.

Quick question about Jedi training... Are there tiers of effectiveness you can pay for? Like, why do Anakin and Obi-wan get to bounce round the galaxy with a fucking JEDI KNIGHT to learn the ways of the Force but the younglings are all getting like a bulk deal, budget class in the Temple??? Did Obi-wans Dad pay for a Jedi tutor ??

This style of review started out funny..but Nick, it really come off as you trying to test out stand up comedy acts... reading off a screen at your own scripted jokes...isn't very funny and gets tiring real quick. Comes off as way too forced and artificial. That being said, they make valid points in that this movie is laughable..not as bad as Episode II.....but almost... The over the top and cheesy dialogue is just so painful...
