All these people bitching about Colin and Tim, when they are 100% right about the whole movie. Been in video production for 7 years now and as someone who has a detailed eye, they noticed the same things I did. Only one thing to point out...After the bomb scene in the courtroom, it jumps straight to the next scene of Lex driving up to Lexcorp on a streetbike. There is absolutely no context in this scene and just automatically wants you to assume that you know what's happening. After watching the movie 4 times, I've realized that this scene is trying to convey that Batman stole the kryptonite, but without ever being shown that he stole it. It's literally the most misplaced scene in the whole movie, And left almost as bad of a taste in my mouth as Jesse Eisenberg's horrendous acting.

+tymotoboy53 I get that scene was misplaced but it took you 4 times times to realize that like the whole batarang where the kryptonite use to be did not give that away in the first viewing.

it didn't take me 4 viewings to notice, I said I saw the movie 4 times to analyze every important detail. The human brain isn't fast enough to absorb each individual detail all at once you know...

If we are to look at the totality of the facts presented in the first topic, I can’t see how anyone can agree with the premise of comparing a director’s vision of Batman that was meant as a symbolism (Fear, Chaos, Pain) versus a director who is trying to construct a Universe that implants various heroes in a comic book fashion. The Nolan Trilogy was to present to the mass market, the manifestation of what Batman is perceived to be through the eyes of Nolan. So it is imperative that in that closed environment, that you put together the frameworks of a story which is the exposition (Batman Begins) … Conflict of the character ( Begins - Dark Knight) and the climax into the denouement ( TDK - Rises). Boom perfection. However “for a movie that is setting up a universe where other characters will inhabit” to fight something that is bigger than themselves .. well then the story is no longer closed, it’s no longer a vision; especially when you have various directors who will put their own perspective of the character’s that they’re creating into that world. That is the difference between Nolan’s trilogy (Closed Environment) vs Synder’s movie (Open Environment). TLDR: I completely agree with Greg and Nick. We have to adjust our perspective of this movie. Understand that this movie is in a form of a comic that doesn’t need the actual setup that is founded in a closed setting movie. As you can see in the first 15 minutes of the movie, they introduced a different perspective of the final fight in man of steel. if you’re someone who hasn’t seen man of steel, then there should be no reason why you’re inside that theater or you’re going to be lost. This is a comic book movie. The pieces will fit together through many perspective.

I 100% believe in the idea that Batman only went over the edge after Jason's death and the appearance of Superman only pushed him farther. I will be very surprised if we get to Justice League and the standalone Batman film and we see him as brutal as he was in this. I strongly believe that Clark put things back into perspective for him.
@DrTurdsley8 жыл бұрын
+Noah Friscopp What did Superman do that would bring Batman back? Say his Mom's name? Needlessly sacrifice himself?
@FlynnTaggartGuy8 жыл бұрын
Turdsley He made him realize that what he had initially believed to be an all powerful monster capable of destroying the entire planet had family, had someone that loves him. He then remembers the entire point of putting on the cowl in the first place, to prevent what happened to him from happening to anyone else.

As far as their conversation of superman goes, with all the religious symbolism and dialogue in the film I'm surprised that people don't realize that with the Jesus symbolism, nobody accepted Jesus as their savior until he sacrificed himself for humanity. Obvious really.

the problem with having a batman that kills is it leaves huge plot holes. why didn't he kill Lex at the end and why doesn't he just end the JOKER two characters with the potential to kill thousands of people. batman should have no rogues gallery after crossing the killing line if he has been doing his job right. I just don't see the logic to a guy who would kill a random thug with a gun but not a mass murdering clown that lives for chaos. if you want batman to kill that's fine if thats what the audience decides but then you got to do it right if your going to commit to it at all... p.s. just watch how the punisher handles it in daredevil.
@Mufflon1598 жыл бұрын
+queelude9 Here is the thing though. WHEN did he start killing? Maybe after Robin was killed? Maybe he killed the Joker and the "new" one is someone different. This is a Batman who has been going at it for 20 years. Probably lots of stuff happened that shaped him into the guy he was at BvS. As for the Luthor part. To me it was pretty clear that the sacrifice of Supes changed something in Batman. And he even says to WonderWoman Men are good. The thing that confirmed his change for me was that he did NOT brand Luthor in the end.
@KHSACKJD8 жыл бұрын
+queelude9 That type of comment is exactly why people who loved the movie say those that hate on it didn't understand most of the stuff. He clearly doesn't kill Lex, and even DOESN'T BRAND HIM because the whole Martha moment brought him back from the darkness and in that moment he let go of his criminal actions, and that was even more reinforced by Superman's death. That's why you people look like dumbasses in my eyes. THINK FOR FUCK'S SAKE!
@frankcasamento748 жыл бұрын
I love a batman that kills people and in a world where batman kills the joker is irrelevant after the first time he pulls his shit and batman gets him

I just realized that Tim is not a very good movie critic of the comic book movies. "Wonder Woman is not popular with the general public?" Are you kidding? My mom knew who Wonder Woman was before this movie even came out. I would say she is just as iconic as Batman and Superman. Colin had the most objective views regarding the movie, and I thought his analysis was fair. I liked Batman v. Superman, but I thought Colin's views were well explained. Tim should take notes from Colin on how to approach a movie critically.

In the spirit of these otherwise awesome dudes constantly repeating the same handful of words literally 100s of times over a full episode, I'm leaving the same comment I left on their other BvS video taken from this full episode. How many times do all 4 of these otherwise supercool guys say the word "LIKE?" They sound like my 12 year old hip hop artist wannabe nephew. I reckon it must be at least 50 times each. Aren't 2 of them from a journalistic background? It's infuriating. D'you know what I mean Greg? ;)
