To me, the action in the DCEU has always felt like what a well-funded, live action anime adaptation might look like, specifically in Aquaman, and the Flash's stuff in Justice League. I think it works well to distinguish itself from other superhero movies

Keaton is my favorite Batman and he looks great… that being said I fundamentally refuse to pay money for this film. The way Miller has behaved as well as the way in which WB has enabled and fostered their criminal behavior really bothers me and I refuse to reward that with my money. While Miller was evading and taunting the police on social media WB had them doing reshoots for this. I have to draw a line. I’m tired of WB thinking it can skirt by on this stuff by simply throwing cool eye candy at the audience. They want everyone to forget and ignore all the egregious, criminal shit Ezra Miller did in order to make a buck and sadly so many people are following through.

Get them the help they need? No, they went ahead and bankrolled a 200mil dollar film around Miller and waited for the world to forget. It’s scuzzy behavior that frankly hurts Miller in the long run. Rewarding all of it with money guarantees they learn nothing.

Speaking as a VFX producer, I wouldn't nitpick stuff like skin texture too much with trailers. Often, the effects are not final and are touched up before the film is released. It could be final but there's a good chance it's not. Also I've been a part of trailers that make temp shots just for trailers. i.e. Shots that feel like they should have Christian Bale might actually have him but were comped to look more like Batfleck.

Surprised there aren't more "what about Hogwartz" comments. That's definitely the SuperGirl actress in her real suit next to the Batwing, the only thing CG in that shot is her cape. Y'all just get thrown off by the Man of Steel style of suits, which I love. Robert Downey was the one always having his face slapped onto a CG body, the airport scene in Civil War is an especially low mark. And I don't know how you think James Gunn is going to change that, his shark and starfish were way more cartoony and hella CG than any character in this trailer. Guardians has their share too with the fight between Peter's dad and him, James Gunn uses CG where it makes sense for the characters like any other director. Man of Steel defined the standard for portraying characters with super speed/strength, in a way that Matrix Revolutions failed to do. And Black Adam pulls it off much better than either Shazam movies, both of which completely fail. Even Marvel's Eternals uses the foundation Man of Steel pioneered, I have no doubt the next Superman will continue/evolve it cause eitherwise they're just going to disappoint.

I was laughing so hard at the crew saying Marvel’s visual language is the standard. Doubly so at Nick saying modern movies are lit better, the reality is most movies these days are racing to be under lit and borderline illegible for “realism” as to what is going on. A great example is Bodies Bodies Bodies that uses low light with precision and you can see what is happening, whereas in stuff like Barbarian and Black Panther 2 I had no idea what was happening because there just was no lighting choices being made.
