I can’t believe how badly Nick screwed up one of the best monologues in cinema history. The face reveal is iconic! I thought he would love that scene.
@Armaret86Ай бұрын
Only 58 mins for gladiator. I have seen Nick spend double the time recapping shorter movies. 😂

I thought the same thing, and for a movie this long. They must’ve had to use the studio for something else or recorded really late, Barrette has been working like crazy tho 🫡

The last half of the movie went so quick. I came here from Spotify to see if I missed a chunk
@Fyrestorm2429 күн бұрын
Also, to be fair, greg wasn't here to do the whole "podcast within the podcast" bits for like 50 mins so that probably shaved the time down a lot.

Sorry but Gladiator WAS NOT Russell Crowe's break out role at all. His break out happened much earlier with L.A. Confidential which he followed up with The Insider. In fact both those movies were nominated for best picture themselves.

Best part of the movie, when he takes his helmet off and reveals who it is.. and yall spend 20 seconds on it.

Yeah one of the most amazing and memorable movie scenes of all time and they basically ignored it.

I remember that the reason Maximums grabs the soil before a fight is because he was a farmer and he has a habit of checking the soil… before adding fertilizer aka dead bodies. (Ok I added that last part but the soil/farmer bit is true.)

Who could forget the iconic line where Maximus goes “I’ll get my revenge this day or some other day…but if like that day doesn’t get here, it’s nbd really, no cap”

I saw this in theaters on opening weekend and couldn't believe how Good with a capital G it was. I thought it was just going to be a fun action movie. The Super Bowl commercial was footage with Kid Rock played over it. It was a kick ass ad and payed off, but I didn't expect it to pack an emotional punch like it did.

No bigger let down than seeing an "In Review" come in under an hour. But then you see the lineup and understand

@zacknapp7119Ай бұрын
Haven't watched this movie completely in a long time. I had a lot of issues with the plot this time around and being almost a 3 hour movie it seems inexcusable to have such major plot holes such as Maximus just being taken from his own camp, Maximus remaining a slave even after it's revealed who he is especially given the status and power he held and then Commodus learning the plot because his nephew said "Maximus, savior of Rome" like that kid would have known anything.

Hans wrote most of the main themes for PoTC, but couldn't do a lot of the recordings due to other film obligations (The Last Samurai) so he got good buddy Klaus to finish up stuff and gave him the credit. He then took over for all the sequels

Top three most disappointing in review with fast five and Batman and robin. Where I was hyped then nick shit on it, or Greg was there but they didn’t do the plot.
