Never played the original but this was a blast to play. Still on my first run but have been playing for like 3 days non stop. It’s a great horror game in that the suspense builds perfect and you get just enough items to make it through but still have to be tactical. The upgrades are great and the fact you have to figure out which weapons work best for each situation is fun. The story is also very interesting and you get invested in the characters. I’ve read every log so far. I’m a fan of horror but don’t always enjoy them all. This is a near perfect horror game imo.

Nah glad they kept to script. Retain the original flow for the OGs I was pretty amazed and impressed. It didn't need to move forward because the original was well ahead of its time.

I did see a couple of small glitches so far (Ch.1 and Ch.6?), yet is has been so FUN to relive the experience. Some places are different, some rooms are added, the camera can be manipulated during cutscenes instead of being frozen in place, enemies are quieter and can sneak up on you, the whole ship is explorable on a whim (chapters do not constrict you to that section) yet enemies will also respawn, there are Easter Eggs, you can Fly while in space or zero gravity, the added enhancements for the weapons are a nice cherry on top, and Isaac's girl is more accurately aged 😅. So many things are well done. My only issue.... 🫠 is some of the voice acting is not done well. Thankfully it is only a few lines and the rest is good. Onto chapter 9 today. #Twitch/DontTreadOnThee

I read a lot and I'm a big-time video camera I've been a video gamer in my whole life. About a PlayStation 5 and I heard a lot to the game needed a patch or something to fix but I played the game with no internet I unboxed my PS5 I played it I had very minimal problems I'd heard it ran real smooth never choppy and my PlayStation is great

SPOILERS: Imo they messed up the leviathan and hivemind boss fights. The original were better. Also the sound design for the hivemind was better in the 2008 game. Finally in the remake they made it too obvious from the start that Nicole was dead by the way she was carrying herself around with all the creepy music and tone of voice.

The release date had been stated for several days in advance, as was the release time. No excuses for crying about it. There was a global launch. That happened to not be at night in the US If the game released at night in the US, it would have released in the morning or in the evening in other countries. Thats how time works

I loved the remake, only problem I had with it was the blood looks so cartoonish like you can see it multiple times, you can see during a tentacle death, I think it was tentacle 2, and isaac gets crushed and the blood was literally so cartoonish
