Hi Rok, thank you for this video clearing how to create control shapes. I have a question. After I created the controls and assigned them, how do I use them ? I can see them when using rig pose but I can't select any of them, instead I have to select the point which the control shape is assigned to, but I can't select the shape itself. Are they supposed to be used at obj level ? Thank you

In rig pose mode you should be able to click on control shapes to select controls or joints. So, if you are in rig pose mode and in viewport disable joint display (right click menu -> disable "display joints") you should be able to click and select control shapes. They are supposed to be on SOP level as the rest of KineFX.

@@rokandic They're not selectable ... even when I turn off joints visibility

@@artfive Sorry, what I meant was that control shapes should be selectable even if joint visibility is off, but they should be selectable in both cases. As to why you can't select control shapes, I honestly don't know what could be the problem.

@@rokandic I finally solved the mistery 🙂 In the fur dude tutorial page www.sidefx.com/tutorials/kinefx-rigging-fur-dude/ someone commented that controls shape must be polygons otherwise they are not selectable, so I converted them from nurbs to poly and now they're finally selectable.

Thank you for your amazing contents! Can I ask you one question? I'm following a KineFX tutorial(houdini 18.5 version) and I can't find "Reparent Joints" node in my Houdini 19. Do you know which node I can use instead of this node? Thank you for reading my question. I am stuck..
