Thanks for watching my review of the R1. Do you think it’s loud?

Good review as always, I'm new in smartrainers and I'm tempting to buy the wahoo kick core, is it a good choice or do you recommend another one?
@SmartBikeTrainers5 жыл бұрын
+Toni Marques the Core and Elite are great mid-range trainers. You might get a better deal on the Elite though now: www.smartbiketrainers.com/go/Elite_Direto_2_Smart_Trainer_8211_/940/

Very happy with my Tacx Neo 2. Unlike the majority of trainers that estimate power (watts) based on the speed of a weighted flywheel driven by a belt, the TacX NEO measures the electrical energy created by the mechanical energy of the rider. The conversion of mechanical energy to electrical energy occurs because of electromagnetic induction. With electromagnetic induction, an electric current can be produced in a coil of wire by moving a magnet in or out of that coil. Since the bicycle chain is directly driving the TacX NEO magnets there is no need or possibility for any spin down style calibration common with weighted flywheel trainers.

You can’t go wrong with the Neo. It’s a solid trainer and just works.

Thanks for the good review! I wonder if it would fit under my bed. Can someone measure the width when folded?

Does the rocking motion add any. Value?

Hello, I have had a problem with the 9mm adapters, I have lost the one on the cassette part, and I was to see if you could send me the measurements, so I can make an identical one. Thank you so much!!

Hi… I no longer have this trainer in my possession.

Sorry, did you say it overshot by 1k watts on sprints? Avatar in Zwift will be burning the tire off the bike.
@SmartBikeTrainers5 жыл бұрын
Correct. Seems to go up to 2000 watts as soon as you hit 700-800 watts.
@KushPizzaSleep3 жыл бұрын
can you control the unit with a third party PM like a stages when using zwift?
@SmartBikeTrainers3 жыл бұрын
Yes, Zwift allows you to do that. Just pair the trainer as controllable and use your PM as the power source.

Gabriel R 1 second ago I want to buy a "used" trainer (Actually not used yet but bought to someone and not from a store). How do I know if it is the old model (faulty board) or the new? Could I use the serial number? Is there a model number? Thank you!
@SmartBikeTrainers5 жыл бұрын
You probably will see production date included in the serial number. I will try to check mine later today.

@@SmartBikeTrainers ok thank you and from which date is it the "unfaulty" model?

Hey Brother thanks for the great reviews, I'm in the market for a new smart trainer, I would like to be a direct drive with the capability of thru axle and quick release, so I can use any of my bikes, I was sold on the KK R1, but not sure what to get now, the Tack Neo 2 problems with over heating, can you give me a good input. Thanks Tamparider.
@SmartBikeTrainers5 жыл бұрын
The Neo 2 or Wahoo Kickr would be my first choice.

I am confused by how power accuracy is measured when compared to other power meters. Unless you can find a 100% accurate power meter you can be off by 5 to 6% if you have two 2% compared with a 3% accurate power meters. Even if you use 3 to 5 different power meters you are still just guessing which one is correct. A few watts difference seems fine if using the same power meter all the time. the 1000 watt spike is another matter completely
@SmartBikeTrainers4 жыл бұрын
I don’t expect all powermeters to match. If they do, then something is wrong. Generally I expect to see them within 1-3%. More than that is an indication of something wrong. So when a trainer company claims power within 3%, I expect it to be within that range and add another 1% to 2% especially when my other two powermeters I have on the bike are matching ok and also match with other smart trainers such as a NEO or Kickr.

Does the R1 or any other direct drive trainers accept 7 speed cassettes with spacers??
@SmartBikeTrainers5 жыл бұрын
+Brandon Loge I personally never tried it and these trainers don’t usually mention compatibility with 7 speed. I don’t see why not as long as everything else fit. I know some have done it with other trainers and worked just fine.

@Brandon Loge, currently using a 7 cassete with a Schwinn Volare bargain bike successfully...you won't need ANY of the adapters for back tire install. GL
