Coach, after about ten years, and now approaching 60 racing in the evening is great but a nightmare to wind down for work the following day. Thanks for those tips.

Big believer in longer cooldowns - I usually go about 8-10 minutes while waiting for my heart rate to drop back into Zone 1

I do that too. I like to hang out on the bike even longer then the actual cooldown. Just going in Zone 1, listening to my music, turn off the fan setting by setting and wait until I don't feel hot anymore without it. Then when I get off the bike I am all relaxed.

On another topic. I just blew a tire when out riding, And it was a new tire! I had pumped it to the maximum tire pressure, that may have done it, or hit a sharp object. It split on the side wall! Grand prix 5000 with the transparent orange side wall, and latex tube

Sorry to hear - sounds like a little high on the pressure - hope you get it sorted ok

You really should use a tire pressure calculator like the ones from SRAM or Silca to determine the appropriate pressure for your bike setup and weight. The max tire pressure on the tire is not a recommendation - it's the maximum pressure the tire can safely hold. if you are using that pressure, you're pushing the tire to it's absolute limit.

Being dropped in a group ride for me is a challenge to get better, I haven't got any option but to do hill rides due to where I live in Spain.

Great tip as allways...will put into practice. jjust a point: due to the current ride adiction :P, is it possible to add light recovery rides between the touching points instead of 0 activity? i noticed that doing some light spinning on the day after a hard training helps to dont feel much stress on the legs..but this is just an observation. What about the following the CTL chatts? is this mambo jambo? today, if i see my fatigue level is way higher then the fitness curve, i just take it easy... thanks!

I ran it back over the triangle effect saying at 7.17 but my brains not quite grasping it without a written example, if anyone can help than thanks in advance. And also, how accurate is the fitness watch to go off? If you’re in “productive” that indicates what you’re doing is working for you?

Hi @F1TZGER4LD, He's saying that when you look back at your ride data if you see a Zone 3/4 peak to the graph, then you've spent your time doing either efforts that are too easy (not as hard as they should be for a hard workout) or too hard (not riding easy enough for a gentle ride). The middle part of our heart rate or power is not where we get the most training benefit. Go really hard or go easy. Hope that helps, it's still an issue I have especially when riding on the road, my ego keeps looking at that average speed...
