None of them won a World Series and Felix never even pitched in the postseason, it makes me sick. But you also sound ignorant dude. Felix CHOSE to stay in Seattle, he knew that he'd probably never make it to the postseason but his connection with this city trumped all of that to him. He's the definition of a class act and I'm damn proud to call him The King of our city.

Today was probably Kyle Seager's last game as a Mariner. Same vibes, but combined with the tension of a must-win game 162 it made for something very emotional. Here's to a bright future for the Mariners, one where the team goes further than it ever got while Felix and Kyle were around.

I grew up a Yankee fan in the dark days of mediocrity (after ‘77), when the franchise couldn’t do anything right. When MLB banned Steinbrenner from being apart of baseball activities for his toxicity. In those days Donnie Baseball was our hero for staying. It means a lot to the fans. As a fan of the game, I love King Felix. I pray for the day the Mariners are back giving the Yanks fits in the divisional round like in the 90’s. It’s good for the game. Keep faith Seatown!

I visited Seattle last summer when the Giants were in town. The day before the series started, he was out with his family in the city and we ended up on the same tour together. I was wearing my Giants gear and saw him. He saw me and knew why I was there. I waited until he broke away from his family for a minute after the tour to shake his hand and let him know how much I appreciate what he's done for the game. He's a great guy.
