Brilliant, Sir! Many years ago, when living in Shrewsbury, I attended a memorial mass in Battle church, given for all who had taken part on that awful day.

Wow, that must have been fascinating. The church and museum nearby are well worth a visit.

I've been watching your content since the anarchy video. It's just amazing work. Detailed, well put together - if you didn't know it, you'd think you were watching a BBC production. I don't usually leave comments but I had to on this one. Anyone that can put together an hour on Hotspur... Just... Wow. And done as well as all the other videos. Just awesome. Bravo, sir.

Absolutely, but who would play him ? 🤔👍

Hotspur made a great Shakespearean character. Henry Cavill with Benedict Cumberbatch as King Henry.

Well you never see either of them in anything rubbish 👍

His character was recently in the Henry V movie in 2019. With Timothee Chaltme as King Henry V. I believe Hotspur is in the opening scene.

@@historyslifestories373 But seriously , I know for a fact that one of my direct Ancestors was Sir Piers Legh. He fought with Henry at Agincourt. He actually died near Paris in 1422. They were all from around Cheshire , as far as I know his father had fought with Edward the Black Prince earlier

All about self interest of lords. On both sides including Owain Glyndwr .Dwr(water). Not pronounced Dower..as in flower but Doohr.Dwr. Brilliant video. Thank you.Diolch.
@historyslifestories3736 күн бұрын
You are quite right about the lords, but sadly wasn’t it ever thus? Thanks for letting me know about the pronunciation of Glyndwr, I did Google it with a few sites and they all pronounced it Dower, shows how good they are, (in fact some of them can’t correctly pronounce French either), do you know of a good site that correctly pronounces Welsh words? I would be very grateful if you do. Glad you liked the video 😉🙏👍
