In a way, K Rool represents a boss battle character in Smash. Think about it. He has one of the best vertical recoveries that is hard to spike, has an unstoppable projectile, a gun that sucks that can cheese a stock, his grab and down tilt can bury you which can be comboed into his final smash, his taunt as well as a majority of his moves have super armour and he can take a lot of punishment. This character was well worth the wait.

Some changes I think woudn't hurt that much: - Cannon ball speed increased so its less prevalent when edge guarding. - Gun suction range limited to the front half of the gun. - Up special duration and distance shortened. It's a bit too much for a heavyweight. - Up and down air hitboxes reduced to require more precision. After all that there should still be plenty of options for spiking and edge guarding, but would require a bit more skill and be easier to punish.
