One thing I noticed, that never happens on shoots....King Kong asks the callers, the hosts, for THEIR opinions as well. It just struck me as really classy on his part.

underrated....very underrated...and misused...hogan politics played a big part in this, if bundy had the belt...wouldve been a good angle...hogan vs bundy for the belt.... the cage match was good...i dig bundy.

Biggest mistake McMahon ever made was to not have Bundy as a heel champion in 86-87. Hogan's schitck was already a bit stale by WMII and he desperately needed time in opposition. When you think about it the good thing about Backlund was that he was such a horrible TV performer that it made it very easy to give the belt to the Iron Sheik, even as reviled as he was. Once Hogan had the belt though it became really hard to get it off him because he became such a huge sensation. But Bundy would have been a credible way out of the eternal face champion snooze fest of Hogan. He could move a bit, could talk and was terrifying to the kids. The perfect villain!

Bundy never had a problem with Hogan. He's said Hogan was always good to him, and great to work with. So I wouldn't blame Hogan.

As a kid, KKB was the scariest wrestler to me, with the little kid fear he could sit on and suffocate me. Which speaks to how well Chris played the character. As an adult, I think he's my favorite wrestler to listen to. Bright, articulate, seemed like a pretty solid guy.

Yep! and he was on Married with Children. The Creators of MWC are Big Wrestling Fans . They were gonna call the family the "Hogans" but there was already a T.V Family called that So they called them the Bundys after him. There next door neighbors "The Rhodes" were named after Dusty..

Bundy and Heenan were good together I remember they jumped Hogan along with Don Muraco and broke Hogans ribs to set up Wrestlemainania 2. I also enjoyed the two Saturday nights Main event where the fought Hogan and set up Andre to take the title from Hulk. The one thing i thought should have happened was that Bundy and John Studd should have won the tag title atleast once
@bumblebeemoi
@bumblebeemoi 9 жыл бұрын
+evelynsutton1 Regarding Hogan's ribs. I was living in Norwalk, CT (near the WWF headquarters) and this guy at the gym was talking about his wife who was a friend of Hogan's wife. Through Hogan's wife he said that in a month or so Hogan was going to the hospital and the whole deal. I had told my ex this before and after we saw it happen on TV she said, "I have the same feeling now when I learned there was no Santa Claus."

Wrestling changed forever once KAYFABE disappeared. It´s like a magician revealing his tricks. Why bother watching "sports entertainment" anymore?? We all suspectd it was a work back in the day, but we liked to BELIEVE it was real, and it was great.

To me it was more like breaking the fourth wall in movies. It's no fun watching a movie if you know how the special effects are done I mean. And it's not as if most people don't understand that movies are fake too. But you still want to be left alone with the fiction there, and not have some twerp continuously remind you that the movie isn't real. Same with wrestling. Anyway, Bundy was like a demigod of schoolyard bullies in the 1980s. Whoever you were afraid of in school at 11 years old, Bundy was that person times ten. Awesome character.

Even the music is generic, in our golden era everyone had a theme tune customised to describe them perfectly. Not enough emphasis or praise goes to the genius who created so many iconic theme songs. Every great star had a great theme. It why the only guy who really made a success out of starting in wcw was goldberg…. Nobody else really ever had a song that was either memorable or suited the character

The weekly show should literally be jobbers and superstars….. no big names fighting each other, maybe just one on each show. They need to build the guys better, make them look like killers….. then those big shows mean so much more, it’s the only time the big stars collide. Also agree that less is more, 4 big shows a year works well.

Scary is where the draw, sell and the money is, ask the Undertaker. in only a few short years. Bundy was in WM2 vs Hogan for the WWF Title in a cage, with world watching....where was Brody? The only reason McMahon let him go was because the trend was towards 7 foot tall men who were built like superman and made bragged about themselves and did unnecessary break neck maneuvers not necessary for great matches. And if Patty Patterson figured that strongly into any of this well there you go...McMahon destroyed wrestling and turned it into an X-rated circus complete with clowns ..a fucking paton place ridiculous runs and not enough wrestling and so called "macho" men growling and wearing pastel pinks,yellow and greens with too much grease and un-funny lines...and over priced tickets....it's not rip off football or base ball!!!
