Road Warriors were the BEST! I had the opportunity to meet Animal and Hacksaw Duggan at a GNC promotion once. I spoke with them for a while, both good guys, cool to talk to. R.I.P. Hawk. :-(

Did anyone know if Animal/Joe talked about Warrior??? Cause on the Road Warrior DVD, he never talked about the Ultimate Warrior. I thought them and Warrior had a great connection.
@pepperj9 жыл бұрын
+kenterminatedbygoogle Yeah, he said that back in the 90's the three of them would wash each other's small roided nutsacks after ever match. They kept in character too cause of kayfabe and all. Hawk would cum on warriors face and yell "ooooooh what a rush!!!!!"

Love the Road Warriors, but Arn and Tully could truly tag team. Their matches were awesome because of the different styles that both team possessed.

I have to disagree with Animal on one thing. IMO the reason wrestling got over as good as it did back in the 80's wasn't so much the heels getting over, but the fact that we didn't have all the "secrets" being blabbed all over the internet killing kayfabe. Not saying there wasn't some great heels back then, cos there WAS, & I'll take the Jim Crockett Era & World Class Era of wrestling over any of today's shit, any day. I'm just saying IMO the reason it got over as good as it did back then, was because we didn't have the internet killing the business the way does now. At the very least, I think we can all agree it didn't help it any.

+Macky D Testify to what? The internet helped to expose just about if not all, of every little secret wrestling ever had. Of course the wrestlers had allot to do with the secrets getting out. Funny thing is, allot of the wrestlers doing the bitching about all these "secrets" getting out, are the same ones who do these shoots, blabbing it all out. Not saying they all do, but allot of them do, so in a way, they have no one to blame on that one but themselves. lol But in short, the internet sure didn't help it any. Before the internet, all we had was wrestling magazines & ain't no way, they would tell. Like I said, the internet IMO sure didn't help it any. But that's just me.
@5555-f8l8 жыл бұрын
ah the internet killed wrestling just like people in the 20's said that radio is evil because they replaced live stage performances, its like saying i would prefer watching wrestling on local television (with lower audiences) than seeing it on the internet wherein other countries not just the us would be able to watch.
@defiantone85568 жыл бұрын
Cyril Ebarvia When wrestling was on local TV before the internet, not all the secrets were exposed. That was my point. By exposing all the secrets & how the business works & operates, THAT'S IMO what killed the business. Besides, its none of our business how wrestling works or operates. If you wanna know how all that works, become a pro wrestler. Otherwise, you have no business knowing these things cos you are not IN the business to start with. But that's OK. You just go on believing you think you know it all, even though you don't & you are wrong, kid. lol

Road Warriors hands down one of the biggest names out their period let alone the greatest tag team ever. Its to bad what happened to Hawk(r.i.p) but its good to hear Animal voice and he's doing well but I would have to totally disagree with him and his point of view on taking steroids no matted if its given to you by a doctor or not. What alot of fans don't realize is not everyone can wrestle like Brett Hart you have to have the power guys so that look so unstoppable(like Hogan,Goldberg and the Road warriors)that when they do lose it would be huge

Greatest tag team ever. Kinda sad to hear Animal be a bit of a mark though, talking about number of titles won in different organizations. I get what he's trying to say, but he still talks about it as if they really "won" the titles.

CaliforniaLove Well brotha, if u won the world title in many promotions, u would talk about it from a proudly viewpoint. I am sure Flair is proud of being a former NWA and WWF champion so many times.
@5555-f8l8 жыл бұрын
well even if they didnt really win them as in a legitimate competition they were still the most popular tag team at that time and in a world of entertainment the ability to win the crowd is the most important and they were doing that.
