Just getting started but I'm liking these sounds a lot. Did some A/B comparisions with a bunch of presets from Digital D1, and the funny thing is I feel like the versions on this app are more analog sounding than the D1, lol. But seriously, the sounds have a space, and an air that is missing from a lot of synths, and it's really refreshing. I can imagine these blending in nicely into a lot of projects. Thanks!

Hey, this sounds super cool! I've been looking around at the different things audiokit has to offer and I'm just wondering if there's somewhere that compares the different apps and how they differ from each other and from Synth One... I see so many things I like but don't want to overwhelm myself with too many apps and lose focus. I know there is such a huge array of sounds in each, but it would be great to know what makes one stand out over another.... Synth One alone is mind blowingly complex as it is... Thanks for any help you can offer and pointing me in the right direction! And for just being an awesome human being to put this all out there for us!

Thank you, your kindness means so much. It's inspiring to hear. Well, for all around sounds, I would pick King of Digital. If you're into video game sounds, SNES & SAGA are great. And King of Bass is for earthshaking bass. Hope that helps!

Subject: Automated Ramp up filter automation with the arpeggiator engaged in (one shot mode) I love this synth so far! I was just wondering why it isn’t possible to assign a slow filter sweep with a ramp up lfo when the arp is engaged, it only works in (free mode) and obviously won’t reset when you release, I guess it’s because the ADSR resets every time in arp mode which makes sense, you can do it no problem when there is no arp on either layer in (one shot mode) which I love. No biggie but it would be pretty dope if you had the option to bypass this somehow in the settings.

Just downloaded it. Very excited to try all those new sounds ! The program plays perfectly as a standalone on my iPad Pro. I have a problem though... I am using Camelot Pro and it doesn't find it in the software instruments. I have King of FM from Audiokit that loads just fine, but this one is nowhere to be found. I rescanned the plugins a few times to no avail. Is it compatible with Camelot Pro?

Hi, I haven't tested it with Camelot Pro. But sometimes if you restart your device, then hosts will see the plugin! Hope that works for you?

How is a keyboard connected to the iPad. What are the options?

If you have a USB-C iPad you should be able to plug a powered USB hub into your iPad and connect your keyboard to the hub. For older iPads, the Camera Connect Kit is needed. Bluetooth is also an option. Jakob Haq has some videos comparing usb MIDI solutions.

That’s the same as the “retro mode” in Digital D1. The oscillators have more grit

@@SupraheadStudio King of FM barely works on Mac in AUv3 mode, I'd say maybe 10-15% of users are able to get it to work correctly as an AUv3 on Mac. Luckily it was free!

The reason I asked, is I catagorized within a spreadsheet...in a way that suits my brain... all of the presets I use in KoFM ..including my customised ones...am doing the same for KoD .. your response means I now don't have to cross check.. saving me a lot of time. My spreadsheet for me at least makes it easier for me to find the preset I'm looking for ..and then I may tweek it for the specific tune.. now that there is even more sound customisation available in KoD, I can often even make a sound I don't really like personally into something I do like, which then can be used in a tune... The.. customisable nature.. which let's face it what a synth should be..is AWESOME..thank you for both apps. My only suggestion for both apps is maybe look at trying to optimise the code so it's less demanding on my lowley iPad mini gen 5 A12 CPU model A2133 3Gb ram..as the more tracks on GarageBand of either KoFM or KoD stuttering.. this is the only issue I've come across in both apps ...so that's pretty good really .. but I thought I would offer you this feedback in case it helps. It odd that I get this project load stuttering, because according to the hardware monitor I have installed on the iPad the CPU demand never gets above 40%. Maybe time for an A14 CPU iPad and even logic Pro..can't afford at the mo 🥴

The only thing wrong with this app is you don't charge enough for it to get rich off of it. - Well that and the color is kind of boring. Just a couple weeks ago I bought a new keyboard just to have one with a music rest that I could put my iPad on to mess around with iPad apps, and you come around and come out with a killer app for it right away. Luckily, this is a fix- This is the replacement for Digital D1. And earlier this year we fixed FM Player with King of FM. Can you please share with me some other apps you’d like fixed? If anyone paid full price for D1 ($14.99) then you can message us to get this upgrade free. Otherwise it’s only $3.99 for the 400 D1 presets plus 500 new ones!

I don’t think there is another developer that can provide the value for money for app that Matthew does,I live in London it costs me £2:00 ($2:35) to park my catr for 15minuits,so I could park for half an hour or buy this app that gives me hours of pleasure forever,I do understand the idea of fix the bugs in older apps but what’s the point Matthew looks forwards not backwards and I am someone who lives on disability so money is very tight for me but this is really a true gift at the price of a cup of coffee don’t you think …….help support these developers,I’ve seen the progress and commitment from Audiokit for a few years and although I questioned the 909 a bit after being a dance music producer over 30 years really do you think it’s a 909! But I now understand you can’t just rip off a 909 because Roland won’t be happy.So I feel your frustration but in fairness this is one of the best apps around for the price just listen to it.
