My goodness! A Korg Keystage 61 seen in the wild! Great to see as there has been a non- existent user review of this new Controller! Thank you for the video 👍

I have to mention this video is currently the only look at the Keystage from an owners perspective

After hours and hours of searching around KZbin this is the only video presentation that has given me exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you 👍

If I may add that I have an iPad Air that has a USB-C port…..and would hope that the Keystage would run on the appropriate Power block and power the Keystage AND the iPad Air, resulting on no need for the CCK. I would love for Korg to consider making a 76 note Keystage!

not all controllers /keyboards have midi din5 or UsbHost(printer connector) new gear have a usb-c connector for midi+audio(send and recieve) or just usbA-out , but always they need a USB Host-pc/tablet/phone No way you can chain keyboards/controllers without a PC these day's as we had with the origine din5 in/out/thru midi .It also is a short of midi settings inside these instruments to set rx/tx /thru channels. we realy need more solutions like the Go-twin for all OS platforms(windows/ IOS/android) and midi din5/usb/TRS include power-delivery(5volt)

Hi, just a quick question. How do you like the keybed of the Keystage? Is the poly aftertouch easy to work with? Thanks!

Obviously, if you’re looking for a grand piano action, this isn’t it. 🤪 I would characterize it as a fast light synth/organ action, with just enough “give”. Polyphonic AT, has worked great for me so far. it has breathed new life into my Prophet Rev2, and especially my Roland Fantom, which has dismal AT response of its own.

@@ZTAudio Thanks! Indeed I meant synth applications. Should have clarified that. I have a Fantom 6 myself so I can relate. I use a Modal Cobalt8X as midi keyboard for my synths atm. And while it’s good with its Fatar keybed, I struggle a bit with the aftertouch. I’m not a good keyboardist at all (which is why I use sequencers), but I like to dabble and have fun with the keys and just finding consistent aftertouch response has been a struggle. It’s like the key hits a too short hard resistance in which you have to put your expression. The Fantom indeed has that even to a greater degree. Most likely my noobish key skills are a big factor, but having a better tool to learn could help. Cheers

What's the ASIO latency of the Keystage at a 64 sample buffer?

I’m sorry I didn’t see this earlier, but I guess two months later is better than never, huh? That’s going to depend highly on how powerful your iPad is, and how many instruments and effects you’re running. In this case, I’m running a 5-year old, iPad Air Gen3. Usually, I’m running three or four instruments in AUM, and usually an instance of some kind of reverb or delay on each of them. AUM doesn’t give you a read out which shows latency. However, I’m pretty sensitive in that regard, in my rough guesstimate would be somewhere the neighborhood of 5 ms or less.
