hi hello, eight months later and here we are. my full review of King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo friends!!! ( but really just 17 minutes of me ranting on about how I am a hoe for the Darkling, I'm sorry)

I watched your review before deciding to dive into Bardugo's works. Not even in the middle of the first book and [knowing already a spoiler about his fate] all I want is for her to write a whole duology or trilogy about the Darkling. We should make a whole petition 😂

I just love the Darkling and loved the fact that they mentioned him so much in this book. I am waiting for his redemption and like a lot of people don't like him but how can you not like the darkling, putting aside the fact that maybe he isn't everyones type a lot of people hate him bc he is kinda evil. But hear me out he lived for hundreds of years despite the fact that he felt alone all the time and the only person that cared abt him was his mother ( also the girl he liked when he was a child tried to kill him and take his bones and it's so messed up) because the Grisha were suffering and he really thought he could help Ravka and it pained him to see what it was going to and how that beautiful country was degrading. He has done some cruel things, but I am able to get over those (exept what he did to Baghra) since that's how the others treated him, the action happened in the 19th century, and you couldn't afford to let you enemies alive, if someone was not with you they were against you, and he was born in like the 13th century and the world was even darker back then. Thanks for coming to my rant abt why the darkling is not as evil as people see him

Okay am I the only one that noticed & was upset that Wylan didn’t get mentioned ONCE. Literally every one else got mentioned so many times, even Kuwei, but Wylan had no acknowledgement whatsoever.

there is something about characters like The DArkling that appeal to me so much!! I love characters like him and tate langdon from ahs. Its also why I loved the guy from the book Stolen.

I just finished King of Scars tonight and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. The beginning of the book was hard to get into but it was worth pushing through it for that ending. I was not expecting it.

Honestly at this point of the series I don't give a shit about any romance and love triangles, all i want in rules of wolves is war strategy, fighting and ruling and a good friendship between nikolai and the darkling and i low key want him to command the second army again, can you imagine how cool would that be i mean he created the second army he deserves to rule it again.
