@@littlewing5682 that's not true. Because you cab enter the property legally and then once told you leave by the owner and you don't leave you become a squatter. No crime committed. I can think of tons of ways where it wouldn't be illegal. But I guess the only you think of is the one where someone wasn't invited. Guess what you can have ur renter become a squatter if he doesn't leave at the end of his lease. Hundreds more. No law broken.

I call bs on the property management people "having no idea what they were getting into". Hosmer street is one of the most infamous places in Tacoma. It's been that way for years. It's glaringly obvious that Emily Hubbard and her organization did zero checking on the history of the property and surrounding neighborhoods. They're just looking to line their pockets with as much cash as quickly as possible under the guise of providing "affordable housing". Virtue signaling at it's best.

The guise that it's social justice and virtue signaling? Or the fact they are doing what any true capitalist should be doing? Are you a commie in disguise yourself? Seems like it. Because it's not about families, it's about wealth. This woman only cares about profit so she gets on this news special probably brought about because she paid someone off and she rants about Hosmer which everyone knows is a bad spot and has been since I was young. What this does is it helps devalue the area further in the minds of people so property levels drop and they can scoop up this whole area for cheap. Then they build it up with low income housing to turn a profit whilst it gets cleaned up then rake in more money when they sell once it goes up in value........

A contingent of law enforcement officers from many jurisdictions around the state were sent there to concentrate on cleaning up the town and banishing the criminal element. It worked! Isn't there any cooperation between agencies in this state, including the federal government (ATF was mentioned in this news piece) that can form and rid our communities of this scourge? It will take a concentrated overwhelming display of law enforcement to rid our cities and towns of this crime element. It's not a Democrat vs. Republican issue. It's a people issue that involves us all. Clallam County has an interagency drug task force that handles major crimes and they report to the citizens via Nextdoor and Facebook and Twitter. It's criminal negligence for the city and staff paid with taxpayer dollars to let this shit show keep growing. LEO needs to stop blaming the laws like the law stopped all DETECTIVE WORK. No one is building cases just saying hey we can't chase and that is the citizen fault lol. I've sent so many of my security camera recordings to LEO. Drone footage to LEO. Sometimes I get stupid responses like "we recognize you've reported a vehicle stolen. It matches our records but we can't do anything because it's on private property!" Even if the right wants to keep saying change the laws most of this crime is organized and to make a fucking point just build some RICO cases. Make FEDERAL STATEMENTS and give these idiots real prison time. Stop this catch and release shit or not catch at all because you don't care. No, putting a Republican in office won't change that so stop saying it. LEO and government need to be on the same damn page and come up with solutions together. Don't have time to keep waiting for quarterly updates. Nah mf's I don't care if you gotta get off your soft asses and walk a beat again.

If you want to know the reason she invested in this property, read up on LIHTC. Low-Income Housing Tax Credits subsidize the purchase and rehabilitation of affordable rentals like this one. How? The federal government issues tax credits to WA state. State housing agencies then award the credits to private developers. Developers then sell the credits to private investors to obtain funding. Building is purchased. Once the building has tenants, investors can claim the LIHTC on their taxes over a 10-year period. Why? Because as an investment group they have substantial income tax liabilities, and this tax credit offsets those taxes due.

That building should be Condemned. Besides crimes being committed. There are water leaks, electrical issues, and other issues. A lot of the victims are often out of towners and those visiting from British Columbia. The latter they are from out of the country and criminals are xenophobic.

My only questions are: "where did the criminal come from in life?" "What's putting that person there?" "What in the hell brought a person to that point in their life? Was it society? Drugs? Heartache, mental health, WHAT?!?!" Until we start answering these questions, we really can't say we're "fixing" the problem. We live in a reactive society and not exactly a proactive society. Perhaps realizing the fact that some of us are only a paycheck away from becoming criminals ourselves is where understanding might start for some of us. The few that have run out of options trying to integrate within a society that looks down upon them with scrutiny, disdain, or judgement while they try to survive off of crumbs, eventually a person is going to say, "fuck it, I'm going back to the hunter gatherer days," on some level... In a technologically hyper advanced society, that very well indeed might look like stealing, or murdering. You can take the human our of the wild, but you can't take the wild out of the human. This is where our society will continue to fuck itself up. Until it is realized that our society needs to recognize and accept this, things will continue to worsen with time. And I'm sorry but no amount of: Religion, politics, money, military/police enforcement, or volunteering is going to change any of that. If people learned to listen a lot more, and look at the suffering of individuals, that lead to the crime as the responsibility of the whole, we're going to continue shoot ourselves in the foot. Basically what I am saying is, it is the responsibility of the individual to try to meet society half way, while it is the systems responsibility to recognize if it is creating living conditions for people that might cause them to rebel. That's a two way road. But what I'm asking of people is TOO MUCH for the majority to accept, until the majority is at stake... Like I said, a reactive society.
@schnellfahren911
@schnellfahren911 2 жыл бұрын
Insightful, but just getting to the root of the problem might involve painfully politically incorrect things being accepted, like basic human behavior, example: fatherless homes= survivor instict/spread seed much as possible so better chance of reproduction/ continuation. No racial anything, it goes deeper than that. These tendencies /habits engraved in our dna over X years... how does a society collectively train every last individual to overcome the urge by the time the person is old enough to procreate? Not possible unless draconian rules implemented, even then. SO, reactive is the answer, plain and simple. We only need to better educate kids on the reality of their decisions, then let them choose for themselves: do crime/do time, or don't.
