Hell, I work in residential hvac. I'm constantly in peoples attics in South Carolina. It is constantly in the 90's- low 100's here in the summer, and attics are basically dark greenhouses. Update: I have since moved far far away to southern wyoming and the difference is incredible. I mean there's still warm days, but the hottest I've seen so far is like 93°F and back home in Texas the humidity could be up to 75% to 90% and that's on top of it being 110°+ so it feels like 113° in the shade. Meanwhile out here on the plains the humidity is low, very low, sometimes getting as high as 15% XD For as low as the humidity is I'm surprised by how much it rains, it seems to rain *at least* once a week which is something I'm not used to. In Texas you might be without rain for months and then suddenly get a week of it. I have to say I am very much enjoying the weather and climate... So far. I mean it's summer here right now but it feels like a Texas autumn, winter is going to break me I just know it.

I'm originally from Tennessee but used to live in Connecticut (military family, we were all over the east coast, that was just the furthest north we lived) and I always felt my sense of temperature. As in I was the southerner wearing shorts when it was 60 and telling the natives it wasn't cold, and my mom was the only southerner at the salon she worked at, and was one of the only ones who was willing to drive to work in the snow. I think northerners just really like to complain about the weather for some reason. Especially since a "heat wave" of 70f is really stupid since that's literally what most places call "room temperature" and most hvac companies recommend keeping your thermostat at (well, 75 if it's over 95 outside, but 72 most other times for energy efficiency) Edit: also i just randomly did a search for a heat index calculator... And Holy shit, temp and humidity you listed for Texas makes the heat index INSANE. at 110 and 75% humidity, the heat index is 206F and 90% humidity brings it to 247F Holy fucking shit. That's a "feels like" temperature of above boiling! How the hell do people live in Texas???
