My only critique is cleaning the boss face. 3M has a gasket remover that I use. (plastic finger wire core) will not remove any material that is not needed to be removed. Looks like you are useing flap disc abrasion. Causes low spots for lube to leak out at prior to full lubrication. I used to do it that way in the early day's but found that the less material removed the better the lube dispersion. Still awesome video. I still look at what is being put out to learn something new or add my 2 cent's. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for sharing. I was able to name lots of parts thanks to the fact that I had to study for my pre trip in order to pass my exam. While studying I made the commitment to understand which part I was touching and the name because I wanted to learn to remember, not just to pass my exam....still lots to learn though.

I didn’t too until I saw a life long mechanic have serious health issues from ingesting toxic chemicals thru the skin that the body wasn’t able to discard. Double bad if you used/use old school paints. One fellow had to quit as anymore ingestion even fumes was going to put him over the edge and kill him. Stay safe.

The only reason I would tear it down that far would be to use the press on the bushings, I pull the front tires and brake drums off and that's it, set a big block of wood next to the axel to set the knuckle on and hammer the bushing in and out with a big hammer, if it all goes good I can do the whole job in just over two hours

A normal price is thousand dollars plus parts, $300-$500 for pin kit, $30 each wheel seal, $30 each tie rod end, brakes shoes and drums are $325, quart of gear lube, I would do it for a grand with parts in my shop and probably make $350 after buying parts, but that's okay money for one days work, some days I don't make that much driving my truck after putting fuel in it

We have two trucks we bought brand new, 2007 just did the pins and the came out with a pipe on the jack pushing them up, really easy, but I have had truck where I do the same thing but had to heat the axel red hot on the end and then beat it down with a sludge hammer with a solid shaft between the pin and the ground with the weight of the truck pushing up on it, stay strong, remember fingers don't grow back
