I can't begin to explain how complicated this game was to make with all it's moving parts. And a lot of it is literally held together with chewing gum, rubber bands, and hope. Yep. That's what happened. Beast timer caused it to crash during the drinking potion cut scene. The beast thing requires Alexander's sprite to be already loaded in memory, and it was not in memory during that cut scene, so it crashed. I intentionally wanted the beast thing to happen even if you're talking to people etc.. but I never took that particular cut scene into consideration. The only place the timer pauses is if you are talking to or interacting with beauty. Thanks again for playing!

I can imagine Alexander in his head was probably saying to Beauty, "Come on, move it, move it, move it!" 😉😂🤣 Yeah, you're probably right, the clock hit 0 for the transformation, but it was a cut scene, so the program didn't know what to do, so booted you out of the game. Still, am enjoying this. Thank you for this.

Is it possible to make this version of King's Quest 6 unwinnable? 8:30 - 9:40 and 29:45 - 30:15 and 30:38 - 31:15 This is why I don't like parser games. 13:00 That spell must have had some weakness. Manannan was able to get his true form back in the most recent King's Quest game that I know of (I don't know the subtitle of the game but it's got Christopher Lloyd as old Graham and Wallace Shawn does Manannan). Not only that, but he shapeshifts a few times in that game. At one point, he turns himself into... not really a cat but some kind of cat-like creature. And then Alexander turns him back into a cat but then he gets his true form back again. I didn't understand how he broke the spell, but apparently he did, so it must have had some weakness. 22:27 I have a feeling Adam is 100% right about this. 25:10 Well, that was unexpected. I don't hear the cat all that often. Adam did a great job with the beast's voice. It's interesting that, when you're casting spells, this game uses the King's Quest 3 music for when you're doing that. 4 things I like about the original game: 1. It was point and click so you didn't have to think of exactly the words you were supposed to type. 2. The original game gave you more time before you turned into the beast. (In fact, I talked to Jollo all the time while I was under the curse. I found out a long time ago that while I was cursed, I could talk to Jollo or I could fake my death, but I couldn't do both. In this version, I guess you can do neither). 3. The original game wouldn't kill you while you were talking to Jollo or crash while you were faking your death. If you were in the middle of something like that, the game would always let it finish. You'd only get turned into a beast while you were doing nothing. 4. Things happened a little differently when you get turned into a beast. You didn't go to the Realm of the Dead like normal. The death screen was different and the death music was a little different. As far as I know, there were 3 deaths that were like this: getting turned into the beast, getting killed by the Lord of the Dead, and getting caught by the guards in the castle and locked in the dungeon too many times.
