I love how dan plays as if he’s presenting the game to us. He doesn’t do things the most efficient way like people who have played the game before, but let’s the story write itself out. He often lets the game interrupt his description of something because he knows that’s the best way to show the game. I have to say I really appreciate it.

I hadn't seen the original video but this one was recommended to me and the nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. I played this game 30+ years ago with my sister, I was 12. We later played the other KQ games up to V but this was my first and will always be my favorite. It was revolutionary for its time and as little girls who enjoyed video games when it wasn't socially acceptable for us to, we were thrilled it had a female protagonist. It was also an escape during a very dark time in my life. I can't tell you how many times I fell to my death on those stairs and the path to Lolotte's castle😅I am a bit disappointed he didn't get caught by the goons and get the bad ending where she had to marry Edgar though 😂 Anyway thank you for the edit, reading the comments I wouldn't be able to enjoy the original video 🤨

I don't agree with removing him entirely, I like some of his edits and feel they are a breath of fresh air in GG edits. But making sure there is some kind of checks on his edits and not letting him take some of the "artistic freedoms" he has tried. Hell, I came here because I wanted to fall asleep to a new King's Quest playthrough without "SHuT tHE FucK uP!!!" wrenching me awake multiple timez.

@Melissa-vx1kr I have actually! I also have c-ptsd (and more recently original flavor) and the worst nightmares are trauma-based. Unfortunately I have a brain condition that already makes me feel sick at night, and prazosin immediately made it a lot worse. I'm really glad you were able to find relief from your nightmares with it. Right now the best I can do is rescripting, working on my overall mental health, and using a little THC before bed. It doesn't make the nightmares go away but it at least calms me down so I can stand to go to sleep at all. My partner also wakes me and soothes me if they notice I'm getting worked up in my sleep. Thank you for the recommendation though!

I honestly like some of Ben's edits I wasn't too sure about him when he first joined the channel, but I wanted to give him a chance. Everything he did was okay he wasn't Kevin and he certainly wasn't Barry, but I thought he was doing a pretty good job. And then this episode came out and his edits were so jarring that it caught me off guard. I enjoy a lot of his edits after this but this particular video it just felt was ruined. Found those playthroughs a few days ago when I was feeling really bad. I put them on in the background to help me fall asleep and distract me from my thoughts and it worked so good! Until Bens edits came around. Those edits just take you out of the comfort that Game Grumps is. So many people have a personal connection to grumps and when you watch a video of them it feels more like hanging out with friends and those edits are just unnecessary and make you uncomfortable..
