I think the reason Belos said “Caleb” is because his brother’s name is Caleb, hence why flapjack told Hunter to call himself Caleb, and that leads onto the theory that Flapjack once belonged to “Caleb”

Anne's cameo felt like the only piece of levity in this whole episode. It's such an epic season finale, and there were barely any room for jokes. I think my two favorite moments were Belos "recognizing" Caleb in his Grimwalker, and Collector moving the moon, as it really creeped me out to see that amount of power.

Not only would be it largely a waste of wrapping up lore, action, loose ends etc. Amphibia and other series' show us that we can have both in the same episode (that was only 25 minutes) and it still work together well. I think an epilogue isn't largely important or needed, but probably will be the last 20 minutes of the show.

I know Dana and The Owl House crew are doing everything they can to ensure an awesome third season. Disney may have screwed us, but Dana won't. Philip/Belos is from the 17th century where witch hunts were more common. Philip had centuries to see that the people of the Demon Realm weren't even thinking of invading the Earth Realm, so yeah, it's half out of spite and half of wanting to be hailed as a hero.

So Hunter’s palismen’s name is Flapjack, it told Hunter at the end of Eclipse Lake and goes by that name throughout the episodes after. When Phillip sees Flapjack he recognizes it because Flapjack was his brother’s palismen (revealed in Yesterday’s Lie), and we know Hunter is a clone of his brother. So when Phillip sees Flapjack he calls Hunter by his brother’s name, Caleb. Caleb is also the name Flapjack gave Hunter when Gus and Willow asked for Hunter’s name in Every Sport in a Storm, hinting that that’s his original name.

Since season 3 is technically a third of a season (three 44 minute episodes which is six 22 minute episodes). I'm looking forward to Luz's mom (Camilla?) talking with Amity, Gus learning about the human world, Hinter & Willow's blossoming relationship, & what's gonna happen with goop Belos. As for the demon realm side, I think everyone should be fine. The Collector stop the draining spell so, while extremely drained, the people should be able to bounce back. King can probably reign in the Collector but other than that I don't know where its gonna go unless the Collector breaks bad & becomes the final villain

It's been a theory that Philip's brother's name was Caleb and that Flapjack was his palismen. And it seems like this episode confirmed it. At 8:48 Belos tries tricking Hunter into taking his side again but then he sees the palismen and says the name Caleb before going back to rage mode, which is evidence that the two are connected. Another piece of evidence that I didn't realize until I looked back on it is that in season 2 episode 13 "Any Sport in a Storm" is when Willow asked for Hunter's name, Flapjack told him Caleb.

So much had happened in this episode! Kiki Mora is on our side now (kinda) Philip finally saw Flapjack! He practically confirmed Caleb was his brother's name! (The part where his face appears in his monster form in front of Hunter and scaring him was so creepy!) All those Golden Guard masks...there was so many. More than what they showed in Belos's mind. If Hunter saw that, it would break him! Eda lost her arm! The "Luz is going to be possessed by the Collector" theory is out the window. We lost King!😭 Amphibia made an appearance, confirming this happens in the same universe! The Boiling Isles and everyone they loved is being destroyed! Philip's goo is attached to Hunter! King being the son of the Boiling Isles has officially been confirmed! Luz is back home with her friends! Oh gods and Titan I am so excited for next season! I was so worried about Hunter when his sigil started weakening him like everyone else.

A great season finale that, despite all the odds, didn't feel rushed at all in my opinion. It gave me the decent amount of adrenaline rush and kept me entertained all the way through. I'd even put it alongside True Colors.

Imagine if there was a surprise and Terri from Amphibia shows up as a guest appearance and helps open a portal to the Boiling Isles (it was revealed the Boiling Isles was getting picked up as a location to possibly open a portal to in the episode Terri was introduced in Amphibia) Also it’s nice to see that Anne and Luz live on the same Earth

The only way for Luz, Amity, Hunter, Gus, and Willow to return back is for the portal to be opened on the other side. Which is going to be very interesting because that means the alive CATS have to escape the collector or defeat him to do so.

Honestly this episode has taken me back to a moment from Knock knock knockin' on Hooty's door because at some point he was like, "we're gonna need a blood sample" for king and I just can't help but think that they might just leave the collector on the boiling isles and escape to earth kind of luke how Bill couldn't leave gravity falls.

My thoughts on the finale. It was incredible! I can only imagine what's gonna happen next with luz and the rest of the gang now that she's back home. Looking forward to season three to find out even though it's only gonna be specials. And i'm still wondering what luz's pailsman will be. Hope it will hatch in one of these specials.

With the scene of Eda looking back and seeing the younger selves of the adults, I have to wonder: were they ALL friends? Because Raine, Eda, and Odalia were all there to support Alador when he won the BonesBurrow Brawl (Darius was there, too, but it didn’t look like he was cheering.) And Odalia and Alador were also there to watch Eda and Lilith compete for a spot in the Emperor’s Coven, so were they all friends at some point? And if so, why did they stop? Was Odalia behind it just like she seems to be behind Alador and Darius’s feud?

I'm with a lot more questions than answers, one of the best season finals I've seen in years. I am very saddened by King's "sacrifice" as he had to make a promise in order to save his friends. The real hero of this episode is King and I know very well that The Collector will not harm him but, whatever happens toh always leaves us excited at the end. I didn't feel that way since I saw 'Gravity Falls'. See you soon fan friends!
