This episode really showed how much Eda has grown. You’d expect her to be cracking jokes and not worrying despite the dire circumstances, but she was by far the most mature in the beginning of this episode! Luz and King are *her* kids, and now that she has them, she has something to fight for. That scene where she was crying, acknowledging how unfair it is that literal children had to be wrapped up in this, really got to me because it felt so raw and real…it reminded me of my mom crying about things. Wendie Malick outdid herself here.

Agreed! And it being LILITH of all people who cracked a joke instead. I loved the interaction where Luz and Eda are both stubborn about Luz going/not going to the mysterious island thing. And the Lilith backs Luz up. It reminds me of a fanfic I recently read about Luz wanting to go to somewhere called Necrozia, Eda says no and they both are too stubborn to back down until Lilith says it would be a good idea to go.

I think King is the Titan's son, it's unknown how long King was in the egg, the incubation period could be very long, and he does seem to age normally once Eda took King. Also I wonder how much the Collector even remembers these guys since they've been with Philip for centuries. Would not be surprised if they thought of them as these weird cultists they haven't thought of in three hundred years.

Also, it’s nice to know that when Anne, Sasha, and Marcy need therapy and hugs, Hunter, Luz, and King need them just as much as they do.

Can't I just say that I just love the Collector? Of course that is mostly because I like clowns and jesters as antagonists, but I really love the Collector's design and how childish they are even when they happily speak riddles that involve everyone dying. Reminds me a lot of Dimentio.

The Collector is a joy to watch. I love how their design is a mix of Dimentio and Jevil. I can't be the only one that was playing "Dimentio, Charming Magician" internally when he appeared in Hollow Mind. Also, I am pretty sure that the secret code messages were made by him since he spoke in rhymes like the messages.

There being more than one titan which people live on was hinted at all the way back in the season one finale. If you actually read the book King is showing to Luz in the first 30 seconds of the episode is says “throughout the ages many other monumental bones have been cited in the boiling sea, raising the possibility that many such creatures stalked the demon realm eons past. But, as yet, the titan of the boiling isles is the only complete skeleton known”

The only "complete" skeleton known, maybe because it was most recent🤨 That making the giant skeleton most likely King's closest ancestor, who probably died fighting The Collector, the original titan being smart enough to hide its egg in a safe place so The Collector wouldn't diminish their race entirely. Also since King is still young, the incubation process in the egg must have been a very VERY long time, enough for King to just look like a hatchling after Eda finds him in the cave he's been stuck in for probably hundreds or maybe thousands of years. Judging by the size of what we can assume to be compared to a fully grown titan and a baby titan, it probably takes an enormous amount of time to grow to the entire size of the skeleton that makes up the boiling isles, perhaps The Collector doesn't know what a baby titan looks like. Either that or The Collector knows King is but decides not to kill him out of pity, knowing they can just kill him easily. It's rather odd or interesting seeing The Collector's attitude most of the time, they just seem playful or chaotic neutral in a way that feels almost bitter-sweet, The Collector may turn on King at some point in the future, but for now, we can only just theorize.

I'm curious: is the Collector running running multiple scams, tricking Bill and Belos into doing their biding? Maybe the Day of Unity kills no one and Belos has been fooled. Although, Belos does not strike me as the trusting type. He does, however, strike me as the arrogant type, thinking that he's too smart to be tricked by the Collector. Also, the picture at 6:03, it doesn't have two horns: it has a horn with a crescent moon behind its head. (Insight stolen from reddit, not my personal revelation)

Ohh i also theoriesed that collector could be fooling Belos. I also notice, some plot twists are more simple than we imagine them would be so i thought, by that logic, collector should be simply someone as his names applyes - a hunter who collects beasts, creatures. Could he fool belos and be after going to the human realm to collect creatures, including humans from there? Or simply his main goal is to get his body back? On top of that, i also have my eyes on the titan of the boiling isles. It is the only humanoid looking titan out there. And it lays similar to Caleb's dead body at the painting inside beloa mind. Maybe i am making that one up, but i really hope we will get cool story about who that demon titan was and how he passed away.

But a betrayal would spice up that relationship quite a bit. Especially if Belos suspects a betrayal but doesn't care, so long as magic dies.

Maybe Belos is the one fooling the Collector. He said he'd do anything to save Humanity from evil, and the Collector does seem pretty evil. Would it really be so out of character for Belos to sacrifice the Boiling Isles he hates to strike a killing blow against the Collector and keep humanity safe from him?

I think that would just ruin Belos as a villain. He's been set up as such an intimidating force and such an evil foe, that at this point, having the Collector be "the true villain" would be so anticlimactic it might even ruin the show. Belos needs to stay the most dangerous enemy.

When the theory that King was a Titan was first brought up, I remembered an interesting line of dialogue from God of War (2018). "Giants are just a race, like Elves and Huldrafolk. It doesn't mean they're big." If we apply the same logic to the Titans, then it would explain the massive size difference between King and the corpse that comprises the Boiling Isles. Either that or all Titans start out small and gradually grow larger over the course of hundreds to thousands of years. We don't really know what the average lifecycle of a Titan is.

I found this episode to be just as shocking as Hollow Mind, it's too bad that King's "people" were actually just a witch cult who killed off the titans and worship the Collector but at the same time i kinda had a feeling that something was gonna be off about them, and it was awesome to learn that King is actually a titan but even so i still felt bad for him knowing that he really is the last of his kind and as for the ending of the episode all i can say is that i hope Eda and Lilith don't get captured otherwise Belos will just use them to as bait for a trap.

Did you notice Hootie saying something about a ruckus at the edge of the forest and Eda immediately agreeing to the trip? I think the guards were already on their way to storm the house, and that Lilith and Eda were captured that same day, unless Hootie is aware of everything that happens in the forest. Yeah, I really doubt that the Boiling Isles Titan is King’s father directly. The Titan Trappers are all wearing really small Titan skulls on their heads, and Bill says that he’d seen one once, although presumably it wasn’t King himself since they don’t recognize him, so…I’m guessing there were other Titans alive in more recent history but they were killed off. Maybe King’s dad (and mom?) was the last living Titan, and then either the Titan Trappers or Philip killed him. If it was the Titan Trappers, I’ll bet one of them (maybe Bill) was wearing King’s dad’s skull right in front of him. I mention Philip because in his diary he says that he’s acquired Titan’s Blood, and it just shows a Titan skull with a sword impaled in it without acknowledging where the blood came from. Did he go to the island where King was hatched and attack his dad, causing that crash King heard from within his egg and the big hole on the top of the monolithic “nursery?” I guess Philip just didn’t notice King’s egg if that’s the case. Oh also, if King’s dad (or whoever that is in the mural in his nursery) was a Titan, than what was the even bigger beast he was fighting? I’m guessing it has to be the Collector in some form.

Okay, here's one grounded theory and one out there theory: 1. Seeing how the Titan Trappers intended to release The Collector; could it be possible that all they need to release themselves is a titan's magic to be used in the vicinity of a tablet set ablaze? When King first used his yell, he was in distress over his identity crisis and Hooty's various tests to determine his species. This means distress can activate his powers, like if he were to be suddenly stabbed. If this tracks then the draining spell could be used to power the Isle Titan's remains to emit a massive shriek as a catalyst to release The Collector while simultaneously decimating the populace. 2. What if The Collector is a role within the Demon Realm? Could Luz end up becoming the next Collector after this one is defeated? I only thought of this because we see The Collector act quite differently between their teased appearance in "Knock Knock Knocking on Hooty's Door" and their official debut in "Hollow Mind".

I just realized something. You know the room where Luz and Hooty discovered they "killed" baby titans? Well, I don't think it's real. Bill said "DIY" meaning it was hand crafted by himself. Plus, they're called "Titan Trappers" implying they're trapping titans rather than actually killed them. Cause Bill said "and once we kill the last titan, we'll go from titan TRAPPERS to TITAN SLAYERS" implying none of them actually killed titans. Plus, Bill said "Say who's your buddy's taylor" implying they make costumes rather than hunt Titans and use their fur and skulls

I think, and this is a stretch, that King's dad may still be alive. Bill said that the titan he saw deafend him and that it disappeared. King remembers a deep roar yelling "son". His dad was probably attacked and went into hiding. I don't think the Boiling Isles' Titan is his father. Otherwise King would've been in that egg for a VERY long time. Plus that Titan doesn't look like him.

Maybe the trappers/hunters were even responcible for the almost extinct titan race, that note on them wearing the skulls of younger titans gives a completely new perspective. After that, I theorize that The Collector killed the last colossal titan, and The Collector being locked in the tablet at the same time; I can assume that the hunters/trappers worshipping The Collector through trying to summon titans, were responsible for the deaths or sacrifices of many defenceless young titans who hadn't found their true power yet, unlike King. It's an uneasy feeling to think that King's race was butchered for the worship of The Collector like a cult, but it's all starting to come together, how else would they have been able to get the skulls in the first place?

I remember back when Hooty was trying to help King figure out what kind of demon he was, I always thought he looked like a fang beast of some kind. Then it wasn't long till people made theory connections stating what if King was related to the Titan of Boiling Isle given how the horns and claws are similar to King. Glad to know that this episode 100% confirms the theory giving King a much bigger role (no pressure) when it comes to the event that Belos has plan thanks to him wanting to perform a huge Draining Spell for the Collector. I am abit curious on if Belos knows there's folks who worship the collector or not. Just the idea of Belos interacting that town would be a funny side comic to see.

The Collector was referred as a huntsman and him using magical nets is what a huntsman would do. As for turning living beings into curses, I see it as him turning them into trophies for his "collection". Not counting the owl beast, one does wonder how many creatures did he capture and turn into curse scrolls.

This twist was mind blowing after the cluster cuss that was last week's episode with making matters worse Belos is hunting Luz down now that she knows the truth, we all saw this coming since the King's first episode in the start of Season 2 which was Echoes of the Past. The Collector having their own cult who worships them as "The Huntsman" made Eda's dream or the Owl Beast's memory sequence from Knockin' on Hooty's Door makes everything so much clearer now but I'm getting off topic. What I think was really dark about this episode was the followers of the Collector hunting down King's entire race which were the Titans who I believed were Guardians or as I would like to put it Protectors of the Boiling Isles. Knowing that countless Titans have been lured in by a cult and killed for a LITERAL Demon for centuries is pretty dark in my eyes especially when they're trying to sacrifice King who is not only the last Titan but a child a literal child how effed up are these people?!

On the one hand, Luz now has a reliable source of titan's blood that may be helpful, though maybe not since the Day of Unity is only a week away at the time of the episode. On the other hand, these news will make King a huge target for Belos and the Collector, especially regarding the connection made during the process. The reason I put living in quotes is due to the beating heart in the emperor's castle. That may be the titan's heart meaning that the titan is still alive to an extent. That explains how Luz could find the glyphs. Thinking about King was almost killed made me realize what the Collector is after. If what Bill said is true about the "great huntsman" returning after a titan was slain, that could mean that the Collector wants Belos to slay the titan during the day of unity as part of their deal. Belos hates witches and magic, which comes from the titan, so him being able to kill two birds with one move is something he would go for while freeing the Collector who may possess Luz. Dana did refer to the Collector with he/him/they/them. I saw you didn't mention it, but the episode ended on a cliffhanger with the emperor's coven soldiers surrounding the owl house to arrest its occupations. That's a sign that things are going to start picking up from here on out. The last four episodes' synopses all involve the day of unity in some form or another. One more thing, I can't be the only one who noticed that Belos calls himself a witch hunter and the Collector is labeled as a huntsman.

also , there is something bugging me out with the depiction of King's father in the nursery (4:17), he is represented with a demon skull and a human body , from the neck bellow he is reaaaaally similar to what we saw of the trappers , not to mention that he is using a spear , and not a staff or magic as the titan could have done , not to mention that why tf is king's egg in a tower , maybe titans weren't as big as I imagine but if thats not the case how could a creature that big construct such a well crafted tower , and evenif they could , why , to protect an egg , from the collector that could very posibly on the power level of a god , there is something not adding up , at least in my opinion

There is also a secret message that is spelt from the first letters of each episode per season if you didn't know. The one for Edge of the World is in the room with the large skeleton where Tarak was talking about the grand huntsman (Collector) and their group's leader, Bill.

@@olakpasa6486 I agree that things aren't adding up. I think the mural in Kings "castle" was a warning, instead of a heroic battle. I think, like King, we the audience are meant to assume that the being with the skull and spear is him or related to him, fighting off some great monster. When in actuality it's a trapper killing a Titan. There's also what looks like a comet with a sun in it overhead. To add on to that, in the "castle" there's star, Sun, and Moon, imagery everywhere. Finally, the pillar looking place where King hatched looks an awful lot like the pillar on Trapper Island. At first I thought that King's father built that place to keep him safe. But with all the collector imagery, I wonder if the collector themself built it or had it built. The issue with that is, why would the collector go through that effort if they only needed King to die?

Theirs like 3 possibilities running through my head right now. 1. Eda and Lilith were in the house and may get arrested meaning that Luz will have to go look for Hunter and it will be up to them along with King and Hottie to save the sisters and stop the day of unity. 2. Maybe Lilith and Eda weren’t there and maybe they went to look for Hunter. It’s possible after all from the drawings it doesn’t seem like Luz told them about what they learned about Hunter. Plus Lilith kinda knew him a little. So maybe they went to look for him. Plus if anyone knows about the castle and below it’s Hunter. 3. Maybe next episode we’ll see Eda and Lilith fighting the guards. Maybe Hunter will join them. Maybe he’s taken a few days in isolation to reflect on what happened and realizes he needs someone to talk too and chooses to go to the owl house to talk to them. So when he comes he sees the scouts trying to arrest Lilith and Eda and he decides to help them fight off the scouts. Which would be cool seeing him fight the guys he used to boss around and the scouts fighting their ex boss. Except for the one scout that’s friends with Lilith.

My theory is that King's actual creator was The Collector themself, or instead, an egg spared or missed by The Collector after he/she killed off his dad and the rest of his race, maybe that's what explains him being the "only" titan left. Think about it, if The Collector is truly this powerful being who can control the boiling isles, as we can see them move the moon(and assuming the sun too) with only their finger in the season finale episode; then this character definitely has a power and knowledge above King and the witches. If the collector knows this much, then obviously they would've known if King was a titan, I don't believe the collector will turn on King, but I think they will keep him hostage until the group finds a way back into the boiling isles. I just hope the season of them in the human realm won't take too long.

Honestly, this episode was yet another emotional episode as I expected. But, I was not prepared for the twist of King being an actual Titian. This opens up so many things. Not only does it open up a possibility for the Day of Unity to be stopped (or at least reversed). But also Luz has had Titan’s Blood under her nose this entire time, which means that King may be the key to getting Luz back to the Human Realm at the end of the series. I have a feeling that King might be able to stop the Day of Unity from killing everyone on the Boiling Isles, but he won’t be able to keep the Collector from possessing Luz (if they go that route). If not, then King will keep everyone from dying, but Belos will succeed in freeing the Collector by another way. In either case, I’m still holding out for Luz getting her Palisman with her goal to save all witch kind. Also, these next few episodes are going to be either in immediate succession to one another or at least two of them will be events happening simultaneously. My guess is the latter, given that having a Hexside episode occurring after an episode where the main gang was about to be captured at the end doesn’t make sense otherwise.

what if titans are like sayians, in that they age the same way humans/witches do but once they hit their peak they're aging slows down to a ridiculously slow timeframe? Another idea for the "Boiling Isles Titan is King's Dad" theory is that the room that King's egg was in could have been a magical incubator that ensures that Titan eggs only hatch when the conditions are prime for young Titans or in emergencies that require the infant Titan to be moved to a more secure location.

I think Titans probably age slower than demons and witches. In "Hollow Mind", when Belos snatched the key from Hunter we saw his eyes start to glow as he was staring at the key and since Philip lived on the Boiling Isles in the 1600s I think he used Titans blood to extend his lifespan.

The fact that king is confirmed to be a titan then it will open so many possibilities 1. They can actually use king's blood to open the portal to the human world 2. King can actually command and create an entire army of "abomination type of stuff" That they find in the castle to fight the emperor 3. King's blood (or the titan blood) is shown to have a great power like going back in time or go into someone's mind the possibility is endless But all that aside king is in serious threat right now since the collector is now already know about his whereabouts.

I think the big endgame reveal of this series is that the Boiling Isles (or whatever the heck this dimension is called) is actually a hodgepodge of whatever the Collector snatched up. A dimensional desert island, filled with the 'driftwood' the Collector had found. The Titan, I suspect, was one of the first to really stand up to the Collector's magpie habits, or perhaps was one of the few original native species. As for King's lineage, I think that will be revealed later on, IF it becomes narratively important.

So I've been relistening to the sound clips, and I noticed the Roar of the owl beast and the following explosion sounds are similar to what prehatched King hears in the flash back "the roar that meant son" The titan trappers also had wings which could indicate that the owl beast could mate with Titans or began to as the Collector hunted down the two species (it might be that the owl beast is just the female form of a titan, I'm thinking like in dark crystal where female gelflings have wings) this would futher indicate why Eda was able to make it to the island when as Lilith says dosent exist on any map. We see a lot of potential glyphs symbols and mist around the island along with the freak/super short boiling railstorm. As natural traps to ward off others however Eda and the gang when led by King made it no problem. Eda made it due to being the Host of king's bio mom... she was destined to raise King as her son. What do you think?

Bills blade is the same we see in belos memories Also the titan paintings on the wall, one had 5 fingers so its likely a titan trampler and the one with the head cut off had 3 fingers so thats likely an actual titan (king has 3 fingers and so do the titans disguises)
