In those tapes it is implied that JL lost like a bunch of bafoons almost without a fight with superman being like: “Oh, a giant evil looking freaking skull is approaching earth! Green lantern rings don't work like that at all. Even assuming that King Shark had managed to capture the ring the moment it went searching the universe for a new bearer, the moment he slipped it on his finger nothing could happen because the ring had not chosen him as the new Green Lantern. And anyway, the fact that the shark construct turns around and goes to work to eat them doesn't really make sense either. Green Lantern constructs are nothing more than physical aggregates of the bearer's will, they have no consciousness of their own they take and do as they please.

That's what I find ridiculous about the whole game story wise. This is their first time meeting, all of them are career criminals with a general disregard for human life; with king shark and Harley Quinn being the WORST of the four. Waller tells them all, if one of them blows the others up then that one gets to live and work as an agent, so all 4 of these guys don't fight to kill each other but have some goofy guardians of the galaxy scene thing? No, king shark would kill them all without a second thought. And probably enjoy eating them alive. It's also funny that King Shark struggles to get the ring even though they change the size to fit the wearer. I mean Mogo is a literal Planet and he is a ring. So the Joke doesn't even make sense. Also like people have pointed out the ring should've flown back to Oa or found a new person. I mean they could've had the ring fly to one of the squads, instead of having King Shark rip it off John's finger. Hal only got the ring since he was the best candidate within like 50 miles of Abin Sur. The lantern ring cannot kill someone unless you have an extreme amount of willpower like Hal that one time when he became evil or Batman in that Dark Nights metal series. I highly doubt King Shark of all Characters has nearly that much willpower. Also, why did he instantly try and kill the squad? It's the Green Lantern ring, not the Red one.

Because brainiac made sure that the ring shouldn't leave a corrupted Green lantern and so it stayed on the corrupted Green lantern and also didn't leave when he died because the ring itself was corrupted by brainiac. (I know I said the word corrupted way too much but that intentional)

Ok THIS this is the one “that’s not how that works” in this game that I’m ok with. True as soon as John died that ring would’ve flyed away, but instead they gave us something that was pretty cool, green lantern King Shark or Green Shark as I like to call him was pretty cool. He even did his own version of the Lantern mantra and again it was neat. I’m usually fine with in universe logic or logic in general being ignored in stories if it heightens things or makes the characters look cooler. However that’s not what this games does it makes them look stupid, but again this is the one exception. “In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let those who worship evil’s might, beware my power, KING SHARK’S LIGHT!” 💚🦈

I do agree. Honestly killer shark is the best thing about this game, but it only because the rest of the game is so shit imo. Still I think lantern shark is fun at least, just doesn't make sense that a cannibalistic terrorist shark demigod would get the ring unless you really twist the arm of the story
