The professional artistic performance of Nigeria king of music, he always controls his guitar and the outcome is always pleasant to your hearing.

Thanks for posting the 1984 Sunny Ade Japan video; it'll most likely remain the most professional of the videos made of him in performance. For some reason Sunny Ade was indifferent to good quality videos throughout his career, and this one is one of the exceptions. The recordings are also important because they marked the point when Sunny Ade seemed poised for a global stage and audience. That would not be, because some of boys here abandoned him and he had to start grooming from scratch.

Sad, sad story. I also think the high quality in these Japan series was because the stage and recording was organized by the Japanese government. I've watched a lot of his live performances, and they always leave much to be desired. Another high quality live recording I've seen is the one recorded at NPR. Brilliant performance!

I beg to disagree sir. what of the Montreux jazz festival live performance in 1983, what about live in Essen, Germany also in 1983, what about Reggae splashing at the crystal palace in 1984. How many of his peers did better music videos at their time? Non sir. The music video industry in Nigeria was asleep at the time. perhaps you need to check "Wait for me" with Onyeka Owenu. Perhaps that was one the best technically scripted Video in Nigeria at the time-1989. Needless to remind you sir that KSA charted on the bill board without a musical video. The strength of KSA's performance has always been Live performance and nothing more.

@@Zendaya63 There are two parts in the original comment and in my reply to it. The video quality and the band problem just when his music was starting to gain global audience. "Sad sad story" was in response to the band problem.

This is so classic!! Reminds me of seeing this concert multiple times while living in Tokyo. Thanks for sharing! Also this version of Gbeyo Gbeyo is not on the album. I would like to get this live version on wax or MP3.
