Finally I decided to start climbing the ranks of Tekken 8 from Brawler. In this video I make my way towards Warrior rank (yellow ranks). Let see how far I can climb. Climbing the tekken 8 ranks and learning (hopefully something) along the way.

1:35 D 4,4,4,4 is a low low low high, so you can just block low and punish hard throughout all the string if the Lee commits to it

i must be blessed. i just dont run into pluggers. Maybe a one and done but if a match dc's i am not surprised since the beginning is normally bad so i feel those are legit love the fat you are gonna try and really climb.

​@thelolhounds2.0 ur playing this game like mk you have a whole 3d arena to move around and use to ur advantage the players ur playing against as well are doing the same thing, that's just the low ranks kinda but because of this those other players just mash you have great conversions and hit confirms you just have no movement when u ask urself when is it my turn when they are mashing a jab let's say you can just side step or side walk and punish each charecter is different in what they should do maybe king should punish with a grab ( I only play lee and that lee made me puke) and the other part where u said you just stop blocking cuz you don't know when take ur turn is just a "skill check" kinda dumb to say it that way but that's what it is because every character and you know this has 60+ moves it doesn't mean ur bad its just tekken. P.s. I'd love to get in call and just tell you some things to help you out I love your content.

Up 1+2 is a good low-crushing mid that can be a solid combo starter for you. You can also hold 1+2 for a charged version that's unlockable!

around 4:20 you mention not knowing when strings end and when it's your turn. I'd say early on it's safe to assume most are 3 hits long. There are a lot of 2 hit strings that have a 3rd hit that is timed just right to counter people trying to punish them, so you have to be careful in early ranks when people are just going to be letting those rip over and over. An example of one of these to watch for is Azucena's Df+1,4,1. Some characters you have to block a lot more than others, like against Reina, Jun or Hworang. You seem good at ducking Hwo's highs and punishing them already though.

you should use ↗️ 3+4. Armor move that hits mid and makes you go into that tiger run thing where you can rko (untechable if it hits. I believe ↙️⭐➡️ 1+2 cant be too), or use 2 safe on block mid attacks (there is a low too, but you might as well just go for the rko fr). Low ranks just mash (everyone and their mother mashes, but low rank is a whole new level of mashing) anyway so you can just spam armor all the way up to orange fr. Low rank cant tech grab for shit so you can just spam grabs. Its only at garyu that you actually need to learn how to play the game. Edit: side step 1+2 is a faster side step into a chain grab, i like that one. You can cancel the grab for other stuff too.

@TheLoLHounds 2.0 I think it's time for you to reach a higher rank with one character. Based on statistics most people are Garyu. You have fighting game experience and played a lot of Tekken characters already, you should get at least Mighty Ruler in a reasonable time. :)

I rarely do that but I understand the mentality. Besides the point of the video was climbing ranks as fast as possible, and Lolhounds didn't know how to defend against Lee so he moved on instead of losing rank points
