For the last 30 YEARS artists have been battling the monopoly of Live Nation/ Ticketmaster. Even last year Taylor Swift went against them to restrict their secondary market & try to stop scalpers. Pearl Jam in 1992 & Bruce Springsteen also went against them. But you can’t blame any artist who chooses LN bc it’s a monopoly & necessary to run a huge profitable arena tour. $800k that goes in your pocket is way better than $1mil that you never get because you can’t sell enough seats to cover the production costs. They need to specify that the top popular artists ON AVERAGE make a certain amount a show. So if the topic is Lil Baby is making $1M, this is on OCCASION (festival like Rolling Loud, Made In America) , not consistently. Think about it, if he’s performing at venues, stadiums, arenas etc. obviously a club performance is going to pay way less than a stadium due to the capacity of people they can fit.
