To be fair, minecraft is about building while Terraria is about exploring, so that's why there's more content on Terraria. Both games are valid but minecraft's fun comes from the player's creativity while Terraria's comes from exploring.

Minecraft does focus a lot more on creativity and opportunity, giving players the ability to do as close to anything they can imagine as possible, be that through various vanilla elements, or making the game easier to modify through commands, data packs, resource packs, mods, behaviour packs etc. Terraria focuses on making the game fun from the get-go, without the player having to put much effort into building the world into what they want. The game focuses a lot more on exploration as you've rightly pointed out, with the dynamic changing world and various features to facilitate easier and more fun exploration. (For instance, the teleportation potions making it easy to find completely new, unexplored areas of the world.) Terraria also has two large elements that Minecraft tends to avoid: Grinding and Boss-Battling. Minecraft only has one main boss and two minibosses (if you count the Elder Guardian), and only one is required to "progress" in the game; The Ender Dragon. Whereas Terraria has tons of bosses in the base game and hundreds with certain mods. It puts a much larger focus on exploring to gather new materials to upgrade your equipment to take on the next boss, rinse and repeat. All in all, they're pretty different games with a pretty different focus. Terraria has more elements of a typical RPG, with the consistent player progression and dynamic world, whereas Minecraft is a Sandbox through and through. Of course, it's possible to treat Minecraft like an RPG (take Wynncraft for instance) and it's also possible to build insanely detailed and impressive structures and landscapes in Terraria. I think that's beautiful and exactly how any game should be.

@@MGSLurmey Also both games do have their major problems Terraria can be overly grindful, causing most not dedicated players to leave the game easly Minecraft's code is HORRIBLE since Notch never expected such success so he ended up leaving the game with inreversible code spaguetti, causing performance issues (specially with mods) But at the end of the day we love theses games, even with their flaws Remember Minecrafters, try Terraria Remember Terrarians, try Minecraft!
