time to sort out a new beavertail tow truck on a hino dutro truck we start out building a new tray but when the old hino dutro deisel pump starts to fail it is a big rush to get the new truck on the road so paint sign writing wiring winch and tray fitted all in 4 days and back to work

Great vid red i didn't see any chain dogs in the floor of your tray i would put about three every two meters apart or what you can fit you can use them to use snatch blocks of it which makes getting cars out of hard places and combined with the winch they make a great combination cheers Tony

Great stuff saving that xy as a out seven years a go there was a farmer in Victoria who Knew xys be worth a lot of money Someday so he buyed them up in the seventies n eighties when U good get them for couple hundred bucks out of rego There was going to be a auction on the farm to cash in on them all 1 month before auction Fire we t Thur property n destroyed them all even thou burnt to a crisp Still could have been saved with a good sandblaster a scrap yard from Melbourne came out n paid him scrap price n crushed n hauled them all out all those engines n gearboxes would have been able to be saved but there all gone now such a waste

Awesome work mate, I went from Mitsubishi Canter NA to Isuzu NPR Turbo, Isuzu so reliable saved money from not buying parts or breakdowns. It takes a few thousand kays to settle into new truck and every truck has it's little quirks.

Could you tell me please why you prefer a beavertail compared to a tilt/slide?

price plays a big part because I can build these cheap ..plus where I live in western qld the roads are bad bad so issues with rub through on lines and the lines spliting from rough roads shaking around small tilt trays can crack out around hoist ect in very rough conditions but most of all price ...I built my first beavertail I think about 8 yrs ago and they have worked well ...shinny wheels don't pay the bills
