For the Troll boss they can make it points based to purchase rewards and some of those rewards could require both skill points and combat points to purchase. That way you are driving the need for people to perform both roles and keep a balance.

Setting 2 pitfalls/deadfalls should be a basic part of Hunter you get from leveling up the skill, and making Hunter gear should be tied to Crafting, with a Hunter requirement at worst. That aside, good shit.

We already know the troll boss isn't going to work out that well. BA is properly teamed based and look at how shitty it is. This feels like one of the devs had a fantasy dream and is trying to make it a reality with "everyone working together with what they enjoy!". Won't work.

Using monster parts to get better at killing the monster sounds a lot like traditional slayer from most media. Nightmare Troll should have XP reward options, with a choice between Slayer, ranged combat, and the skills used on the skilling side. Being able to improve your range/defence/hp by doing the skilling side will encourage players to do that side of the minigame/boss

I think they could make the holy wrench or ring of the gods i better by making you able to boost with prayer points like you can with anglerfish. Say 15% of prayer level with the wrench and 20% for the imbued ring. It would allow people to prepot some prayer points like with the regen potion and also make it harder to sip a prayer potion dose early and waste some prayer points.

I’m a super casual player who quit for a few years and came back a few months i play only a 2-3 days a week for a few hours so I’m not the target audience by any means however sailing looks like it’s going to be a complete flop imo not engaging or rewarding enough and the skill itself looks boring. Hopefully they tie some bosses and new npc’s with good rewards to it but not sure it’s going to be interesting to train for me personally, we’ll see since it’s pre alpha I want to give it a fair chance though 🤷‍♂️

Hunter is my favorite skill, but my group's least favorite, so I have a chance to convince them to do the damn skill. 😂😂 I know it's just an idea right now, but man, they messed up by not having it have a pet drop, it would be so sick to have a Kyatt following you, and maybe even let them change fur color if you give them other types Kyatt fur.

keep the holy wrench but give it an upgrade, we have imbues, we have fortified, we have enhanced, jagex likes having upgrade trees for items and itd give a sense of progression. it does seems a bit busted currently so lock it behind a master+ level quest or a few hours of grinding in a mini game

Agreed. I've always felt the pirate quest could use another in its line. Even just something to "finish off" what little of a story it told. Definately had to google some stuff but Mi-Gor from The Great Brain Robbery is still around and could be used as a boss. A Holy Wrench upgrade through the questline would be a great way to add it in.

I never understood why they dont have a "slayer" pet or "hunter" pet etc. that is acquired while doing certain activities inside that skill and while doing slayer or hunter you have a chance to acquire a transmog item or dust from almost all monsters or hunter animals to then change your pet? would make it a grind and skills more appealing to people who want to flex those pets. Could even make the beginning pet acquired from a quest available in early game that just acts as a vessel to begin obtaining the transmogs from standard slayer monsters.

@ those are bosses brother. I’m saying like all standard slayer monsters or all standard hunter animals as transmogs to a standard pet. Not a boss pet or a chinchompa even tho chinchompa is a standard hunter pet it just doesn’t include say a kebbit or graahk or monkey or salamander

so something like a 1/5k off task 1/3k on task (Depending on mob) for the transmog dust or item. make the pet into a lesser demon or greater demon or jelly or skeleton or troll. something that you can hope for along the way to 99 or even sit at the mob and grind if you like it. add some customization and fun stuff like that to the game could help more people in skills like that. im for practically all skills having some kind of pet so there is always a chance and a ulterior motive to skilling . and im not against a pity drop rate either. like 15-20m the drop rate is common
