Found out Cristin did actually sing more and not just in that episode of How I Met Your Mother. So I’m now in the rabbit hole of her singing. And am amazed. Her role as Sofia Falcone is top notch hope she wins an Emmy for that roll

"Once" on Broadway was the very first thing I have seen Cristin Milioti in, and she left a lasting impression on me with her beautiful performance. Fast forward a couple of years later when the identity of the Mother was finally revealed on "How I Met Your Mother" and I recognized her immediately and knew instantly that the showrunners knocked it out of the park with that casting.

@@pamelapetrosino4437 lol neither of them were in Once... that would be Glen Hansard and Merketa Irglova.
@pamelapetrosino44374 жыл бұрын
Nikil Kumar Yes, these two actors were in the original Broadway cast of Once (New York). I saw it when it opened. I realize that the actors you named did the music and were in the movie version.
@bwgiddens4 жыл бұрын
Nikil Kumar this is not Glen Hansard nor Marketa Irglova. This is Steve Kazee and Cristin Milioti. They were the original broadway performers in the roles of Guy and Girl, respectively.

A beautiful intimate modest indie film with one of the most heartfelt and beautiful duets ever written turned into… Broadway kitsch. The choice to have the full company sings COMPLETELY ruins it for me. It’s about two voices, not a multitude. Sorry to be a downer but Once as a broadway musical is just… the wrong fit. Great performances here and all that, but man…
