The Electro Harmonix Attack Decay lets me get tones like this!
@edorissen2 жыл бұрын
The tone of Fripp is a mystery for me. It is so strange, especially his aggressive chordal playing, like the solo on Easy money from the Amsterdam 1973 show. It is not about the exact amp or the fuzz, not the guitar either. Part of it is the use of a wah pedal I guess, it can give you that unnatural squeal. But I don't know what's up with the LTIA 2 tone.
@Igneous_Tone_Generator Жыл бұрын
@@edorissen some of it is about guitar/fuzz/amp- but yeah, its angle of attack of the pick and playing closer to the bridge that gets you the added harmonics of the playing style (like the LTIA pt 2 tone where you hear the notes in spite of the distortion,) the volume pedal where it can get dry with treble when rolled off, and the amp needs to be at the point where it doesnt choke off when you roll the pedal off. Bridge pickup, low output pickups not too close to the strings, volume pedal, fuzz not too compressed, wah-(you pivot the pedal until its where the filter acts to increase the sustain) and an amp which is loud, has some crunch but not saturated. And the pick perpendicular to the strings played with a strong attack.

Reason: Soul talkin'! That was the short version of my comment; i would always humbly listen to critics (when they stay fair...); but if he WANTS it that way at THAT time, just let him be... Future music comes out of this "mistake(s)', we all DO, (i think), although we know it better, but we have to act like that, to make it better/different next time. I often think, not only with music: "How could i be such a BLOCKHEAD?!" Answer from above: "It's the best you can do at the moment, although you suffer and don't understand it yet...; Blessings grow out of that pain" of "not right, what am i doin' here, but i HAVE to!" (does ANYONE understand what i mean?). Blessings to U!
