The addition of her healing Henry with a Lethean potion is a brilliant move for those who know. Our Henry is a bit of a "reset" of our previous Henry, and the Lethean potion "Drink one mouthful and you'll forget all earthly experience." I think that was a perfect thing to add for this.

As a brazilian i really like forests and the country side, Europe forests are atmospheric,was a joy exploring the countryside way back in KCD1 and looks like KCD2 have even better forests and nature, will be a joy explore Bohemian nature again in february,now with even brazilian portuguese subtitles as well

Lack of marketing and the fact the company was a new company where funding came from kickstarter. The game was a huge success selling millions of copies, the second one will do even better

The game being a kickstarter project and having the game's launch full of bugs and optimization issues definitely didn't increase the game's reputation. You can kind of compare it to Cyberpunk 2077's launch but a bit better. It took Warhorse a couple of years before the game was mostly fixed and optimized, still they managed to pull through and sell so many copies because the game IS very good, just had a really bad launch, just like Cyberpunk which sold around 30 million copies.

Speaking as someone who works in the countryside and environmental stuff, you have really got a lot of details in the different habitats and seems you have done your research even in habitat types and what will grow/be there. From a game that’s truly magnificent attention to detail, you see games do it and it feels good sometimes but this is really really good. You make it feel like an untouched wilderness which is superb!

The first 25min gameplay reveal looked more like a KCD 1.5 to me which was fine but these longer streams really make this look like a big step from the first game. I absolutely love the details. I just hope it'll run smoothly on Ps5 on day one.

It will since they are now using Cryengine 5 or higher. Cryengine 3.3 was an engine that was free of royalties but also bug ridden.

NVidia had a "photo mode" of their own which you could use in KCD1. The camera could actually move a reasonable distance away from Henry so you could look over a castle's walls using it.

The reason warhorse chose the crytek engine was because how beautiful it can make wilderness look, and it was one of my favourite parts of KCD 1, I'm glad I got to finally see the forest in KCD 2

I really fell into love with KCD 1, and can't wait for the sequel. That said, at first I struggled with the game, namely the combat and the saving system. After watching some videos and installing the free saving mod, the game finally clicked for me. I'll probably wait for a saving mod to exist for KCD2 before diving in, as in the first game there were way too many non obvious game mechanics to trap you unless you had the chance to save early and often, and thus being allowed to explore how certain things worked. I do not enjoy being forced to replay an hours worth of content, or more, because I didn't immediately know a mechanic, or because the game crashed. Or because I had to stop playing to take care of - gasp - real life. Ideally they should make that saviour schnapps system optional - those who enjoy it get to play it that way, the rest of us get a standard quick save system, and everyone can play the way they enjoy best.

You are spoiling us😭 i know we are in for a treat! Should really have DLSS(for GPU headroom) and Frame gen(for CPU headroom). Currently using Lossless scaling frame gen for KCD and it feels amazing for 144hz, cutscenes are also 60 which is less jarring of a switch!

If its KCD and cryengine, you can run it as its GPU intensive, not entirely CPU intensive like UE5 and such.

Other games should learn from the preset outfit here! ESPECIALLY is a game has outfit mechanic where certain outfits give you bonus stats, having presets encourage players to actually change clothes

Love that Pebbles was given some attention and can get some boosts. I generally like to keep my starter horse and he has done well for me in several KCD runs. Looking forward to mor mutt and quests that allow you to find your own solutions!

The hussite wars would be awesome to cover since its wartime and has a lot of characters that are famous in that period. The Teutons and their Knightly order would be interesting to explore as well. Maybe hoping for a co-op spinoff with 3-4 players as part of a knight order, taking place during the crusades?

I remember when this game out initially and I thought it looked kind of mid. Fast forward to 2024 I bought on sale and I can say this is one of the most unique video games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Super keen for KCD2 if this runs smoothly on OG PS5 this will be a day 1 for me lads.

Loved the hosts in this video. In the first, the host on the left just seemed miserable and disinterested, on top of being too difficult to hear/understand. This time, the lead designer came across as super excited about the game. Smiling, joking, laughing... The whole video was a pleasure to watch. Love seeing developers enthusiastic about their games.
