Sir Bernard says "Strike frow the side where there's no opponent's sword", and then you swing ONLY to the side where Hans has his sword, giving him a perfect opportunity to dodge every single one of the attacks :D that's like the whole point, watching the enemy's movements. Mostly Capon beated you just because he's better at counterattacks, which you can actually dodge as well. It works just as with the usual attacks - when he blocks you and tries to take the swing, block him too and take *your* swing. It can be a long chain, as you said, but it's just the way it is until you're more skilled with your sword. Nevertheless, you actually did pretty great kicking Hans' ass at the archery competition, 17:7 is a hell of a score :0

I was under the impression that the best way to practice was to start on the side where he's holding the guard, since I would know immediately if I messed up the manoeuvre... I'm a little disappointed I didn't get the bow! I'll be returning to Sir Bernard to practice as soon as possible...
