Google translator really does Czech language dirty :D The commentator of "that is just a classic wizard" commented something completely different. It is common here to go canoeing or kayaking and then sleep in a tent in some camp, it is this outdoorsy activity and he said: That's just a classic stop for those people who go canoeing and kayaking :) It is also common joke when someone tries to translate in Google translator because mostly it's nonsense :)

If I'm not mistaken KCD map is from three pieces of real landscape seamlessly stitched together. Sázava is moved closer leaving one or two river meanders and Stříbrná skalice as well. Maybe this part is somewhat rotated. But large portions of the map are accurate.

Hey Roxy! A friend and me just came home from a trip to Czech Republic. We visited all the places of the game, only left Samopse out. We even found the real Pribyslavice aka Biscuit Town, deeeep in the woods. Made a lot of pictures. I took a little reddish rock from the ruins of the church of Pribyslavice. If you want to have it, i will send it to you. Some side notes to all the travellors, that want wo go there: 1) Czech roads are sometimes bad - very bad. 2) If you stare at the lower castle in Rattay (Rataje), there´s a free dog that doesn´t like strangers :-/ . 3) Everywhere you are, you´re just stunned by the level of detail - like, if you compare the game to today´s reality. There´s all that buildings and trees and the way of the river Sazava and and and and ... There´s just soo much that looks like in the game. Greetings from germany! And much love for you and your channel.

Better translations of the reviews: Ledetchko pub: We came across the pub randomly, as we were on the way from Rattay to Talmberg and Merhojed, just like in KC:D. The pub looks nice, has even got a small semblance of outside seating, which was full however. The service is very quirky, or rather "villager-like". A playful waiter and a "jokester" chef who seemed to have come straight from a Hrabal's book /(a very famous Czech writer)/. The atmosphere was pleasant. We had Birel /(brand of non-alcoholic beer)/ and a soup and went on our way. The selection of meals is poorer but since we only had the soup, it's hard to tell what the quality of other meals would be. But the soup was remarkable (garlic soup). The chef seemed to know what he was doing. So hopefully, he knows. Samopesh wizard place: Simply a nautical classic /(hard to explain, but nautical tourism is popular in czech republic, as we have a lot of rivers. And such people, called "vodáci", usually eat meals cooked on open fire, accompanied with canned beer)/. Everything is fried, loads of beer and shots and a fine pace /(not sure what he meant by this)/. And of course, great video, as always. I'm excited for more from this series.

You can actually go closer though, just use our Czech equivalent of Google Maps: www.mapy.cz In the link below you can see all street views available. You can turn it off and on by pressing "panorama" button in left and switch on a Sattelite view if needed by pressing "Z letadla". mapy.cz/turisticka?x=14.9442787&y=49.8554851&z=14&pano=1

My favourite type of biscuit are spritz biscuits (or Spritzgebäck in the German language; my translater told me so, i dont know If this is really a thing in BE). So spritz biscuits consist of short pastry which was brought in different shapes. I especially like the curly ones. The best ones are those half topped with chocolate and coconut flakes.

(I know im a bit late but...) About how you were noticing sasau being in a different place from where it is in the game. I compared the game map and google maps and put together some side by side screenshots. It seems that the game developers decided to just move both Skalitz and Sasau closer to the rest of the towns for convenience. imgur.com/a/SulX9Bk *Edit: Imgur may or may not have fucked with the order of the pictures, so if it seems out of order thats why :/

My favourite part is Google's attempts to translate from Czech. We don't make it easy for you Google. And yes, it is on purpose trying to see what people get from the transaltions. (The wizard one - completely wrong, guy talked about it being a typical spot for river canoers (or however you say it, we have such a simple word - vodák)) Peter's one was surprisingly fine, not flawless but fine.

Hey, Roxy. Probably late on this, but if you want to see Peshek's house a little closer, you can go on the czech equivalent of google maps: "mapy.cz", and type in the search "Rataje nad Sázavou". There is no streetview, but there is 3D view (a button saying "3D pohled") and you can switch to satellite view ("pohled z letadla" button). I would love if you could maybe do a video exploring places unavailable on google maps this way? EDIT: There actually is street view. It's just called "panorama".
