Tbh, while I love the toy store environment you've got now TJ, and I'm always happy to see your content (especially daily now) I really do miss the backdrop behind the figure itself. it helped the focus stay on the figure itself and it felt so much cleaner--but I understand if that's not the direction you want to go in for the series anymore. Either way you're the best TJ, and I hope to see you still going strong for years to come, you're one of the ogs and you deserve everything you desire from this channel.

I agree. I feel like for the rest of your content the toy store background is fun and unique, but for toy reviews specifically it feels a bit cluttered and hard to focus on just one toy when there's so many other toys in the same shot.

The bronze balls in the dino chest that form the hips joints in robot mode SHOULD have been brown tho. The same brown as the beast mode. On the back of the box you can actually see they were brown earlier in the design, but changed to bronze later. It doesn't make any sense, because the brown ones are more accurate to the CGI model and the MP figure. I assume they had to change it for some sort of budget or stability reason. Because keeping them brown would've made the beast mode twice as good, would've been more accurate, and wouldn't have negatively affected the robot mode at all. Kingdom Grimlock did this dino mode better. His toy focussed a lot more on the beast mode. So while the robot mode has his paint issues, the chest balls aren't as noticable, and the robot legs form a nice brown belly for the dino mode.

I am 100% with you on the purple sword complaint. Which is why I painted it the proper silver right as I got it out of the box and messed with it. I don't get how people are okay with this having a ridiculous purple sword.

Little thing I did with mine, is I cut off all the little tabs on the legs that plug it into the back in Dino mode, so all I need to do is clip the feet into the back and it works really well

I feel like if they attempt beast wars again and want to go specifically with realistic beast modes, they should axe some of the robot detailing. As long as the body shape is there it’s ok. (Dinobots gold shins aren’t necessary)

Love the review, TJ! But I gotta say that clip on mic is tough to listen to… I wonder if there is a feasible way to use the mic that you use in many of your other videos? Even if we see it in the shot, it’s worth it for the increase in audio quality.

The trick is for these videos I'm moving back and forth between the two cameras and getting a microphone placed that catches me in both directions is difficult. The lavalier mic is the best option for now, but I need a better made one.

The only way to really get Dinobot beast mode right would be to include rubber panels in sheaths throughout the legs and chest to cover the undercarriage bits.

Being color blind the "purple" in his sword looks exactly the same as the "blue" in his face and between his ribs. If you hadn't of pointed that out I never would of known that they were different colors.

The beast mode hands are an issue and that tail weapon is derpy. Hopefully a fan will release a better tail for Dinobot and better gattling guns for Rhinox

OBJECTION! The hands of velociraptor could not have been held in that position, for ANY length of time, if they were found like that, it's because either the thing died with two broken wrists, or the bones/fossils got moved around post-mortem. The structure of the bones of the hand and forearm prevented the creature from pronating (that is, pointing the palms downward) its hands, they were naturally positioned with the palms facing inward! I complain about this EVERY TIME they put out a Zoids model that gets this "wrong", and I'm gonna complain here to, because apparently this IS the hill I'm willing to die on.

Man, imagine if they had had a full paint budget...TJ, the video was nice, but something about the audio seemed off, it sounded kinda...fuzzy? muffled? can't quite describe it, but your voice sounded less clear than usual, specially noticeable with how sharp the voice is on the end bumper.

I tried picking out the parts that should be gold with a metallic sharpie, but it does indeed comes off easily due to the plastic. Though, the ink on the raptor talons have stayed on a bit better. Other than that, this really is a great figure at retail level.

@@javivaki unfortunately I can't find that Gundam Marker alone. It always seems to come with the Metallic Gundam marker set 1. And if you want to try silver /chrome I'd recommend Gundam Marker Ex XGM02 metallic shine Silver or Gundam Marker ex XGM101 plated silver (warning this takes alot longer to dry than other Gundam Markers)

I hate to be that girl, but those hands aren't realistic or relaxed. If this was a real animal, those hands would be broken. Velociraptor had it hands flush against his belly, they were stuck in a clapping position. Because they were his wings. He couldn't point them downwards like this.

Well, this version of Dinobot is a work of art, though it apparently has a pink sword like MP41 Dinobot, which ain't show accurate at all. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ Pretty bizarre, that is. Meanwhile, Kingdom T-Wrecks (and the original Beast Machines: Dinobots toy) lookin' like Sauron from Primal Rage (or more accurately, palette swap Diablo). 😏😏😏 Surprised that they ain't jump on the obscure BW character repaint bus sooner, like a repaint of T30 Sky-Byte as BW Transmetal Cybershark.

its weird, but I think you might have a different head mold than the one on my dinobot. I just double checked and it doesnt look like you can see any of the teeth(lips fully closed), but your DOES look like it should have the white paint

No those hands are completely unrealistic and more a reference to the show model and Jurassic park raptor hands wouldnt move downwards like that and instead would be stuck parralel like it’s clapping
