Kingdom Guard barracks power level and Castle level power explained relative to troops power

A lot of people in the video have their characters not in the towers, i.e. the heroes, how do you make them able to fight on the field if they aren't put on the towers?

We don't place them on the towers for the purpose of not gaining levels. There are events when you have to gain up levels. We wait for those events to then put characters onto the towers and quickly level up and gain the event rewards. However, over the past 2 months there have not been such events and people are all now quickly leveling up their main castles and their levels.
