I feel like if Xehanort really had managed to put a part of himself in Sora, then after a while, everyone else inside Sora, (Roxas, Xion, Ven and himself,) would have gotten together and voted Xehanort off the island. There's no way he would have been able to keep control with all those bright lights around him.

With the Judge Frollo falling off the ledge into the fire part I feel like they should of connected it with the previous scene with Sora fighting the Dream Eater from below, knocking him up with a single keyblade strike into Frollo's direction causing him to lose balance and fall into the pits.
