The notes in Days reveal to us Kingdom Hearts was more than willing to power Roxas. All he had to do was ask. If Roxas had held on just a little longer inside Sora, if he had bidden his time 'til he could take control of him...He might have obtained it.

Roxas as a character is a pretty funny concept. At age 14, Sora lost his body and said body just spent the next year doing sidequest while slowly regaining his memories

People seem to misunderstand Roxas. He DID break after everything he went through, like Riku did in the past. If Riku became Ansem's successor, then Roxas is Xemnas's, because Riku destroyed the friendship between him and Xion when he told her to keep their encounters secret. Roxas tried to get Kingdom Hearts for himself. He was willing to sacrifice reality for her, like Riku was willing to sacrifice the worlds for Sora. Why does everyone keep saying they're so innocent ? They're awesome characters and people, but they're not heroes. They are like Darth Revan. They are whatever fits their needs. And I ask you...What's so wrong with that ?

"I'll be there to bring you back". The fic series you were looking for, if you wanted "KH 2" to have been more Destiny Trio centric. Instead of falling into a depression, Axel's anger leads him to hold on to his memory of Xion with all he's got, giving him the courage to finally turn on the Org. Meanwhile, Naminé reaches her last straw with DiZ, and decides to save EVERYONE involved in the "commatose Sora" situation. I won't give more spoilers. All I'll tell you, is Naminé and Roxas finally get a proper birthday.

Okay, in the series I never understood what those stained glass circles were that you fought on in the beginning of a lot of games and in key moments. Can someone explain them to me?

@@ShockerTopper It essentially means that you are in the characters heart. So if the glass pane is a photo of Sora, then you're in his heart. Goes for every character.

Perhaps I'm a bit late to the party but it takes place directly after the battle of Sora vs Roxas. The remnants of Axel's heart made contact with Roxas's heart (how that's possible, who knows. It's Kingdom Hearts. Go figure.) Although brief, it allows them time to say goodbye to one another, and that gives Roxas the ability to finally rest for a little while before KH3.

The entirety of "KH 2" was trying to justify what happened with Roxas at the beginning, something people bought completely. Well, not me. "KH 1" is still the best game in the saga for me.

What do you mean “justify”? He was introduced in the beginning and we don’t really see him again until almost the end of the game

@@pythonking16.59but he's always there. Sora's extra anger during the game stems from Roxas' lingering will. And when Axel's gone, he maifests again. Even Naminé explains at the beginning she wanted him aware of what was going on, so his will wouldn't melt away and become fully Sora's. And every world we visit has the message "Accept your place and purpose". Now, why would the player or Sora need to hear that message ? The player might need it in order not to feel sad. But why would Sora need it ? Why would the game be designed like that ? "KH 2" is amazing. But it was built through a questionable moral compass. A compass I refuse to follow.

So if even a Godlike entity favors that without a heart, simply because he helped birth it, who are we to decide he didn't get a say regarding wether he goes or not ?

@@557deadpoolI'm saying DiZ should have stayed dead, like it was clearly intended by that cutscene in 2. The only reason for him not to be, is because after 2, people needed a happy ending. So far so good, UNTIL they decided that had to be achieved by retcons and non-sensical ressurections.

...No. DiZ is the one who failed to keep his people, and then himself, on the line. Xemnas, much like Naminé and Roxas, is a Frankenstein of sorts. Searching for his original purpose, using the only methods his previous incarnation knew of. It's "learned bad behavior".
