Yeah the door randomizer seems like it needs a little more work. Too many things broke, doors were inconsistent in where they seemed to send you, and lots of loops that probably shouldn't occur in something like this. Hopefully it gets a little smoother soon!

Well it's because the story flags needed to make each rooms in each world works normally. Otherwise they will be in debug room. Legally, we've seen this when you do OoB skip in CoR...

Tbh I forgot to mention 365/2 Days and ReChain, but what order do you recommend? I personally only played 1 and 2 as a kid so I dont know the best way to play

KH1 > Chain of Memories > KH2 > 358/2 Days > Birth by Sleep > Re:Coded > Dream Drop Distance > Cross (X) > Union X > KH2.8 > KH3 All of them are in the PS4 collection even if some as a movie (358/2 days and Re:Coded, because they were DS games). Cross (X) and Union Cross (Union X) are phone games so you can just check the important parts online. And yes, there are important things happening in every entry and you will get lost if you skip one.

@@gustavo_barral I feel like people tend to overstate how necessary playing all games is to understanding the franchise. They all play a role, yes, but like, KH3 for instance has several scenes that double as recaps, alongside glossary entries in the journal for extra context, should one need it. By all means, I too recommend checking out the games in release order. But selling it as "play 'em all or you WILL get lost" does a bit of a disservice to the franchise by making it out to be more complicated than it actually is. -Also it's a bit misleading to include the X games as absolutely necessary to understanding KH3.- -The bare minimum you "need" is Back Cover (included in the 2.8 collection), which gives you enough context regarding the hooks they're setting up for the next saga.-

How many times have you tuned in to TV during a random episode of some show and, despite not having all context, still managed to enjoy it? Perhaps you even got curious enough to check the rest of it out afterwards, be it in the intended order or at your own pace. What I'm trying to say is, so long as you go in cognizant that there ARE other games that play a role in the narrative and accept that some scenes may lack context if you haven't played them yet, you should be good to go in whatever order interests you the most. -Which I'm aware isn't really the case here given that OP -_-did-_- ask for what order you'd recommend but idk I'm just tired of the "kh is sooooo confusing" framing this series gets all the time and felt like rambling. Sorry about that.-

Oh god now KH has a map randomizer lmao Edit: I think the warp points are too randomized because I think what's happening is that it's treating "Point A to Point B" as a different warp from "Point B to Point A". (So going from Point A may take you to Point B, but going backwards from Point B you'll end up at Point Q or wherever.) Not gonna lie I kinda want this to be its own mod for added confusion lol

this randomizer, but you have to go through the story in order before continuing on, like how the pokemon map randomizer you have to get each badge before you can challenge the elite four and champion.

Technically you don't have to do the badges and elite four in order. There are no checks for that, even in the base game, apart from HMs to progress of course. IIRC the first Gen (and the remakes) are the only ones that actually check for badges at the elite four entrance

a lot of people, and from what I've seen most people, say that KH2 is their favourite game and the fanbase generally agrees that KH2 has the best combat, so obviously it will get the most mods

@@the2401 Some will disagree that statement because I think the combat in kh2 is heavily flawed. But besides that, can't those modders pick something else for once? It seems like a wasted opportunity to use the randomize doors on kh2 and not on Chain of Memories. Like, it's right there! It makes sense! Yet, they waste it on this game once again. What about KH1? What about BBS? What about DDD? They all use the same graphics and there is so much potential with DDD, and they don't even bother to mod it.

@@Redxan600 I didn't say everyone, I said that it's the general opinion I've seen. also, another reason is that all the existing mods and it being on PS2 make it a lot easier to mod. In com, all you would need for random doors is a save editor to give yourself infinite Random Joker cards. A lot of people hate BBS and DDD so they are unlikely too.
