Agreed completely. Otherwise it's just a compilation of streams. Please give us more Jimmy 🙏🏻 I also think adding those segments help your video tell a story. Like you said early on, there are a lot of shmucks that through out low effort content of just clips of them earning a trophy and making a face. Some of your best videos in my opinion (like street fighter v) have you telling a story and showing your progression arc. It makes your videos extremely engaging and unique. Either way I think you do a great job, just an opinion from a random viewer for you to consider.

Hey Matt, I’ve recently been viewing a lot more of your content and I am impressed by the effort. As for my opinion (and it is just that) I do agree the context and explanation is important. The reason I say this is that I am usually unable to view the streams where a lot of the information or journey would be experienced and my intention behind viewing your KZbin content is to experience that explanation and story. Having said that I am not disappointed by what I see. As you said there is a number of creators completing this type of content and this would keep me coming back

For mysterious figure, build your command deck thunder surge/curaga/thunder surge/curaga/thunder surge/curaga/thunder surge/curaga. Even as Terra this will let you safely survive the laser attack and ensures that you almost always have a cure available and that it’s always within reach… then it just becomes an exorcise in being good at cycling through the command deck while playing the game normally

didn't need to do that but i see the logic in it. The only reason I wouldn't recommend your build is that mysterious fucker is more likely to cast doom the more cures you have so you're kinda making the fight harder by doing that if he decides to drag it out with an unfavorable pattern

I did this! All in one go, on Critical. Filling out all three compendiums was a grindy nightmare that I would not experience until I decided to get all the Trophies in every current Yakuza game, including maxing out every job in Like a Dragon to prepare to stand a chance in the True Final Millennium Tower. (Still haven't gotten those platinums yet waiting till I finish Infinite Wealth and maybe Ishin and the two Judgement games till I can knock them down in a row like ducks.)

I just spent 120 hours trying to plat this game. Thought you only had to crit with one character to get the final trophy, so I did crit with Aqua and proud with Terra and Ventus. My dismay upon learning that I have to do the other 2 characters PLUS final episode PLUS secret episode on crit is immeasurable. I’m bewildered by how many ways this game breaks you.

did you know that you can use the mickey and the stitch d-links to get double exp and level up your commands faster if you get the d-links to level 3? you can also use the command boards to level up commands too, although thats a slower method and best to only use it in the early game. also the best shotlocks for the mirage arena bosses are the rush shotlocks like sonic shadow (terra's starting shotlock) and absolute zero (which ven and aqua get in enchanted domain) because the arena is so big that the projectile shotlocks don't always reach the bosses. for the unversed missions, some tricks: the castle of dreams, you want commands that make you move fast like sonic blade to get the 30 points you need. the dwarf woodlands one just fill your deck with cura or curga spells and wait out two minutes and you'll be fine. the enchanted domain one use magnega, it instantly destroys the flaming rocks, you'll want to get over 30 of them. olympus coliseum, just mega flare, it should work. keyblade graveyard, surge attacks and ones that have a lot of hits in them work best, you want over 350 points. the neverland one, get ice slide and the surges, also the elemental dodges for ven and aqua, an elemental shotlock also works just don't max it out and remember you want over 70 points here. the others you just need to practice. for the finish commands, the bottom row you have two command trees. one is the munny finishers which unlock once you collect a specfic amount of munny. the other are the raid finishers which require you to take so many steps to unlock. the raid finishers (twisted hours and random end for terra) open up once you unlock the first munny finisher, gold rush. i recommend trying to unlock the raid finishers before anything else because otherwise you'll have to do a lot of walking around in the end game when there isn't anything to do but unlock the finishers. once you unlock twisted hours, and random end for terra, you can go and unlock the rest which don't require walking. some finishers need you to trigger certain command styles to unlock, but you can use ice-cream to cheese them if you want. you'll need to trigger the command styles firestorm, thunderbolt, and diamond dust/frozen fortune for aqua. minigames tip! don't forget to do the hercules pot smash for terra and aqua in olympus coliseum, ven does it through story mode. also, you can complete the reports section for the races in the mirage arena, knocking out two birds with one stone, so long as one of the characters has already done all the races in disney town. so you should only need to do the races 4 times instead of 6. to make playing the command boards easier, with your first character, go to disney town last and as soon as a board unlocks go play it with the highest GP in the mirage arena (the longer the game goes the easier it is to win). finally, go play the command boards for land of departure and castle of dreams in the world selection, or in world standing on the save point, and get the unique commands ragnarok, the keyblade board, and focus block and meteor shower, the royal board, on the special panels. those purple spaces have unique effects depending on the board, and once you finish disney town there is a chance that pete will show up. half the time he'll give you GP, but the other half he'll take it from you. it will make winning the board harder if captain dark pops up, so save yourself the trouble and wait. once you've unlocked all the command boards with one character they are unlocked in the mirage arena for the other two. so just play all seven boards there before you finish disney town. doing that will give you the minigame section for the command boards in the reports and complete the mirage arena missions. however, you do need to play a board in the world selection after disney town and have either you or your opponent(s) summon pete in order to get pete's d-link. luckily you don't need to be the one to summon him or win the board to get the d-link. on ice-cream beat: you need a cool rating to unlock the master mode for a song and a cool rating on master mode for all the other songs to unlock hand in hand. you do not need a fantastic score for each song, except for dessert paradise master mode, in order to get the frozen fortune command style. the only reason to get the fantastic score for each song in master mode is for the trophy and you only need to do that for one character. once you have a 20 point combo all points are doubled. the only tip for ice-cream beat is practice. fruit scatter is insane and you need to beat pete in order to get the chaos snake shotlock, score doesn't matter so long as you have the most. i have no idea how the game works i just mash triangle. also you can choose how many opponents you face off with on the command boards when you play in the mirage arena. finally, you don't need to meld every command! you can buy some of them, others are rewards for doing side missions, and some are found in chests! i recommend not worrying about getting all the commands until you have done every minigame, unversed mission, and opened every chest. then using a guide or list to get the missing commands. don't forget to hit the mailbox in disney town to get a friendship command for free!

…this was my first platinum… wasn’t even planning on it, just happened. I was just gonna do the super bosses after everything, getting the treasures and stickers was natural, then I thought about getting the ice cream Keyblade, then the ultimate shotlock for everyone, then… after Vanitus Remnant I just did everything else (for Terra First) and thought: “this platinum might actually feel kind of possible” and just ended up doing it. I think this just inspired me to get it.

I got the Platinum Trophy for this game years ago. I remember being so burnt out on getting 100% for all three characters that I had to leave the game alone for a few years before attempting my critical playthrough. I always do higher difficulty trophies last. I never combine them with collectibles unless certain collectibles are tied to specific difficulties.

The whole Vanitas Remnant “healing puzzle” was hilarious to watch cause Matt kept overcomplicating it, when the answer was to simply not use Curaga. He even arrived to the conclusion of spamming heal to stop him from attacking or something but shortly after realized that it meant he would be unkillable lol. 25:40, for having done the platinum myself, what I believe is the issue with that song (I also have problems with it) is that it is the song with the lowest bps, so while the button press would have worked on another song it doesn't in that one because it is a lot slower so the button is registered as too early

Hey so it would have been easy as hell to beat those bosses as terra if you used him how he was meant to be used he is a physical damage character you used him like a spell binder if you had all strike bar uses plus a good damage booster weapon you would have won just as easy as ven and aqua aqua is the hardest for me to play because I don't like using a bunch of spells so I end up having the hardest time fighting terranort but it is simply just that using damage combos and skills as terra and you would have absolutely wrecked each special boss no issue appreciate your videos and highly enjoy them thank you for all you do!!

Nearing the very end of Platinuming BBS on Steam version, getting 100% reports for every character is definitely tedious as hell-but the Mirage Arena is particularly egregious. Not only do you have to obtain 9999 Medals for one record, but you require roughly twice that amount to buy every unique item there, so have fun farming Monstro/No Heart over and over again… And don’t even get me started on how many times you have to complete the game. I currently have fifteen-yes, 15-saves for this game, including my Standard that I used for most of the Platinum, plus the prerequisite Proud+ difficulty for the Trinity Archive, and the obligatory level 1 Critical runs that you might as well do since you’re already investing a whole month into 100%ing this damn game. Crazies part is that this is the THIRD time I’ve done this entire slog over the course of BBS’ life since the PSP era to now…

Farming no heart isnt necessary at all, monstro is way more efficient with mega flare and rythem master, with that strat buying everything in the moogle shop wouldnt even take an hour. Honestly i think its one of the far easier parts of the grind overall so im surprised how little tolerance you have for it. As for the level 1 critical run that's obviously not needed for platinum so if you're going to do it it should be because you actively want to do it.

@@GawdlikeMatt In my experience No Heart + Ultimate Shotlock yields 2k medals every three'ish minutes. I've never been able to consistently stun Monstro, so I've always just used rushing Shotlocks to KO it in two to three shots (depending on level). Unfortunately, No Heart doesn't appear until Arena level 30, so I still use Monstro to get to that point (aka the initial 9999 medals).

@@Sev_Henry I'm not familiar with that strat, now that you've explained it I don't doubt it's efficiency but farming no heart just seems unecessarily spooky when monstro is so much easier and can be done in a couple minutes per run. You just megaflare the starting room as soon as you spawn it, should kill all unversed if done correctly. Hit monstro with barrels til he stuns. Rest of your commands should be mine squares. Cast mine squares on his tongue til you trigger rythem master, mash X and he's dead. Super easy, super quick, less effort and risk than fighting no heart imo

@@GawdlikeMatt yeah, it's the hitting him with the barrels that I suck at. I've just never been able to consistently do it, and the times when I do never seem to stun him. But it's a moot point now. I've already done 100% report completion on all of my Standard saves. Just gotta do a quick Proud run with all three, and get about 10 more hours to 100% the trinity archives. Beyond that there are only a few achievements I still need for Platinum. Oh, and I'm grinding my 100% saves to level 99, and because Aqua doesn't get the battle level increase glitch finishing her levels is an absolute slog...

Dont know if anyone will See that im Kinda Stuck at critical competitor, i finished Aqua on crit lvl 1 and got two last episodes then played those, and finished Terra ven and Aqua on beginner for completion and antother crit lvl 1 run with Terra and ven, yet i didnt get critical competitor 🫠 i accidentaly delete my lvl 1 Terra crit save, do I have to play again with Terra and make a save ? Or play the two episodes on crit again ?

Who's gonna tell him that almost everything MF does is *BLOCKABLE*.. You can block the laser balls, you can block his assault combos, you can block the dash, you can block the X projectile... What you can't block is Raging Storm, the tornado that steals your deck, and a couple other of his OTHER bullshit, but yeah. This is why Renewal Block is OP. He hits you once? Block once and you're fully healed again. Don't need to cure as much thus you're not as open much.

I remember grabbing this plat during COVID. Worst part was going the inane grind to 99 with all three characters. Still need to go back to the KH3 DLC so I have all the ps4 KHs 100% done. Will I redo them when the game is ported to PS5? No I’m not crazy.

@@marcelokynderman897 You don't but it makes many of the boss fights easier when playing on Critical. Unless, of course, you want to do 6 full runs, two for each character (one that fills out the journal and one that completes the game on Critical). Plus, the secret episode is easier to unlock playing on Critical.

The Disney town music made me lose a large portion of my sanity. Almost as painful as the mini games 😂 I'm working on the platinum now but I'm not sure if I can be perfect at a rhythm mini game.

I was on a mission to platinum all kingdom hearts games. I did 1, 2, 3 and chain of memories. But this game made me quit.

Well dude it's not as bad as the platinum for any of the souls games. Even CoM isn't that bad (speaking from personal experience)
