Fun fact: The game has rare commands system, meaning that some "Command Board" only attacks can be obtained by chance while melding certain recipes, also, there's a chart to predict which Ability you will get if meld 2 commands and a crystal, it helped me a LOT to not get the same abilities i already maxed Tip for Vanitas Remnant easy win: Go behind a large mountain when you start the battle (the one on distance when you look behind), then wait his clones attacks, all you need to do now is keep Strike Raiding while keep re-locking on him The Ice Cream Unversed can give you a TON of ingredients if you use Graviga, FR, A LOT Breaking Jars minigame is STUPID with, again, Graviga command

For getting 100%, I congratulate and welcome you to the extremely small percentage of people who actually had the fortitude to obtain this god forsaken platinum. I remember doing this back in high school when the PS4 version released. That’s right: no booze, no weed. Just me, some podcasts, and way too much free time. The Command Board can kiss my ass. Why Terra doesn’t have I-frames in his dodge is beyond me. If I have to hear the Mickey Mouse March one more god damn time, I think I’m gonna burst a blood vessel. In fact, not only did I get the platinum in BBS; this was the 4th playthrough in a MARATHON of playthroughs to get the platinum in KH 1, 2, and Re:CoM. The Re:CoM platinum SUCKS. But I did it, along with DDD, KH3, and MoM. Hell, I even got all the trophies in 0.2, and you don’t even get a platinum for that one. But was it all worth it? Honestly, I can’t say. I think I’m too far down this rabbit hole to make sense of it all. But yeah, congrats on getting 100%! 🎉

i did a similar thing, over the course of a few months platinumed all the KH games before 3, and then got like 1/2 through 3 before losing interest and moving on to other games. 3 just doesn't have the same art style for nostalgia points and it's like KH2 which is my favorite of the bunch

I’m currently doing the bbs platinum now, I found a spreadsheet on reddit that has a full checklist for everything needed for platinum and how to get it, for every character. My Ven save has 40 hours to unlock everything, bar secret bosses (before I found the checklist) and my Aqua and Terra have 10 hours each to unlock everything shaving off 60 hours all up is a massive win, That checklist is an absolute lifesaver! Just make sure to grind for mega flare and max out lucky strike and treasure magnet asap and the grind is brainless easy.

I love the melting system, if you are patient, you will be able to get thunder surge before the first boss. Also use dashing moves Disney Town to skip the need of glide which will reward you with super glide before glide

A tip from my own ongoing Platinum journey for this game: Only complete the story itself on Critical. I know it'll take a bit longer, but you'll save yourself a lot of grief and frustration going back from the start on Beginner. Especially concerning the Superbosses where you'll have more health. It's not much of an advantage, but every one counts.

Congrats on getting the platinum for BBS! I got the platinum for BBS……for both versions. It was so painful. But regarding those 4 chests in the Land of Departure as Terra: well, you actually could’ve returned to the LoD earlier in the game before fighting Eraqus to open the chests, as after you beat Eraqus is when the MF spawns (if I’m not mistaken). Also yeah most of the mini games in this game can kick rocks.

As someone who’s 100% every kingdom hearts game on Xbox. I can assure you BBS is by far the hardest. My god in heaven the mysterious figure fight with terra is one of the hardest battles I’ve ever done in gaming, ridiculously unfair fight in general but with terra who is so slow its nigh on impossible. Took me 10+ hours and probably triple figure attempts to beat him. I finally beat him at like 5am in the morning and fell to my knees and almost wept. The good news was I played terra first so by the time I fought him again with Ventus and aqua I knew him so well and they’re so much faster that it only took me a couple tries with each to beat him. RECOM isn’t necessarily that hard it’s just so long and tedious. Bad news is I switched over to PlayStation recently and I’ve begun to redo the games on PlayStation and get the platinums, finished KH1 and currently midway through RECOM, really not looking forward to BBS again. I’m just clinging on the hope that older me is somehow better at gaming so will find mysterious figure easier 🤣😭

I've been running through this series again and I naturally got the closest in BbS (just minus the last three. You know the ones). Remnant Vanitas is actually the easiest because you can cheese him. 3D was the first I got to plat, plus got all in game trophies. Will soon be getting the KH3 plat! Then I'll go back and get the rest of the plats. Or as many of them as I care to get. May or not get BbS, but the completionist in me would hate to have only one not completed.

I feel your pain having to fight the Mysterious Figure twice as Terra. That is no fun. I loved this video got a lot of laughs at your summarizing of the events of each character making their tragic tales humorous. Thank you for this. And congratulations on finally getting trophy. I myself just got it this weekend after defeating the Mysterious Figure with each character and I was so happy. Maybe I'm among the few but I had a lot of fun with this trophy. ReCom is my least favorite right now. I love Birth By Sleep it is one of my favorite games in the series. Doing everything 3 times was annoying but on my PSP I never 100% my save file so I enjoyed discovering everything I missed out on. There were some painful stuff to do. And Mini Games were not the best, Ice Cream Beat kept me back from my plat for a long time. Out of the KH games though I don't think it has the worst mini-games. The secrets bosses doing them three times was a pain but once I got the rhythm it was managable. Even the Mysterious Figure granted I beat him on Standard but I think I could do it on my critical file if I wanted to. Not really interested at the moment but still I did most things again on the critical file. My best advice for anyone attempting the plat take your time and pace yourself. If you want to do it all at once that's up to you but I tried to take my time with everything and it made the experience more fun.

Fun fact there's actually a spin-off of the command board I think it's called sugaroku that was included in samurai warriors 2 as well I know it's off topic in your Kingdom hearts KZbinr but if you're ever bored and you have a way to look at it through emulation or whatnot it's really fun so many lost hours I could have been focusing on level 4 weapons

Jared, something you should cover that I've never seen anyone talk about, is how there are missable secret missions in KH 358/2 Days. By speaking to the members in the lounge every day they will give you little tasks like "find every chest in mission 12" and if you do that then they will give you a special mission added to saix's list for the day

I can confirm that BBS is the hardest and most tedious trophy to get. Here's how long it took me to plat every single KH Game (minus MoM because f*** rhythem games) KH1 - 77:04 KH2 - 74:10 KH Re:CoM - 82:32 KH: BBS - 147:72 KH:DDD - 79:85 KH 0.2 BBS: AFP - 15:34 KH3 - 79:13 KH3: ReMind - 32:45 Total = 585 Hours

Just a quick tip for anyone wanting to clear the Monster of the Sea arena mission really quick, after you stun Monstro and get on his tongue, use a Magnega command first. After that, two to three Mine Squares/Seeker Mines is enough to finish him off in about 37-45 seconds

Recently finished Platinum and I must admit that Terra vs MF was a pain. Here are some of my thoughts: - I know well that turning some abilities off is more a myth than anything else, but it helped me A LOT to calm down. There are many guides and videos on YT and elsewhere, but most important is, you keep cool and concentrated. Owning him first try is highly unthinkable. You WILL die often, but it should not make you rage quit. - Alternating Thunder Surge and Cure helped a lot. Rotating the commands with L2 and R2 while Terra is moving, is nearly a must. You have to learn to decide if healing a second time is needed or if you go for an attack by seeing an opening. - Levelling him to level 75 or 80 was also a very good idea, his levelling spot is by far easier than Ventus' and Aqua's spot.. and maybe it is for that particular reason. The attack points and defense points matter a lot imo - Maybe you should concentrate on keeping the distance and dashing away when you (try to) hit him once with Thunder Surge. Don't get to greedy. There are times that you may miss him. Than go mid range and show what he is doing next. If you are confident then hit him twice but it is easier to look for the distance. - When he is invisible then try to dash in a wide circle for avoiding him but don't get stuck in one of the corners. Otherwise it is a nearly insta death. It was a fight of patience and took longer than most videos I watched on YT, but it's easier to play the defensive way, studying his movements little by little. After one and a half hour with breaks and 10 to 20 attempts I got him. I earned that trophy on Proud Difficulty

Also don't take the joke (him retelling the story) seriously, Maleficent uses Terra's darkness, Terra then uses the evil Queen and he never really trusted Hades. Mickey was told to not save Aqua by Yen Sid, getting in was also hard to begin with, only after Riku became a master Yen sid allowed Mickey to save Aqua.

Every playthrough I do of BBS I play command board probably 50 times per character. Not because I'm bad and keep failing(I'm actually pretty good at it) but it's the fastest way to grind commands. It's incredibly satisfying.

To make getting the Ice Cream Ingredients Easier, load up the command deck with Magnet and Thunder magic. The magnet magic will hold them in place while you repeatedly blast them with thunder magic.

I am not sure if anyone said this about Remnant Vanitus...but um...you can cheese that boss fight easily by rushing over tot hat mountain shape area. Have Vanitus on one side, and you on the other side- trapping him in that small little opening of the mountain. Equip Strike raid style keyblades and go to town and watch his AI brake easily and unable to do anything about it or even teleporting to you, because he can't get by the mountain. Granted, do strike raid commands in short bursts and not rapidly, or else Vanitus WILL teleport to you. Even Terra will have an easy time, because of his dash distance makes it easier to cheese Vanitus. Figure to let ya know, but not sure if someone has already said this or not.

I believe the reason ice cream beats timings seem so off is because the PSP version was capped at 30fps whereas the HD versions run at 60 so the gameplay is seemingly faster but the song itself is the same speed

About 2 years ago I sat down to collect every single PS4 platinum trophy for the Kingdom Hearts series as well. I only had the ones for KH3 and Melody of Memory because I just wasn't that interested in doing all this work when the HD collections where released on the PS4 back then. I was super happy when I finally had them all, but a small part in my brain wants to get the platinum trophies for the PS3 versions as well. And I don't know where that part of the brain is because I'd like to cut it out, but maybe someday I'll sit down and do it. The only upside is that I wouldn't have to do DDD again, that game was very annoying to complete.

As someone who's gotten the Plats for these games, every time I hear that Re:com is one of the worst, I just have to ask "wut"? It's incredibly tedious, for sure, but it ain't difficult. If you know what you're doing in that game, it's actually one of the easier plats I've gotten in the Kingdom Hearts games. BBS is by far the WORST! PLAT! in these games. You have 3 characters, with each of them needing to do EVERYTHING that the other 2 did. I'm just thankful that this was one of the games that didn't require you to get all 3 characters to lvl 99 for trophies, otherwise I would have gone even more insane than I did already.

Legendary to accomplish this grind. I can't bring myself to do the Re:Chain grind, mostly because those 100 Acre Wood minigames are just the worst. Collect every card? Cool. Reach lvl99? Alright. Accomplish specific scores in those minigames...? Dealbreaker, I am just not good enough.

I got the BBS platinum. The very last trophy I needed was to complete the game on critical... So of course, I thought I had to breeze through any story and go on my happy way- but when those credits ran and I didn't see the trophy show up... My heart actually freaking shattered 😭 Thank God I was on summer break during my plat journey but DAMN

I love these videos! 😂🤘 Actually I found that Chain of Memories platinum was the easiest to obtain out of all KH games difficulty wise, once you have a good enough deck, no enemy will ever touch you regardless of difficulty setting. 😎

I congrat you, but personally the riku level grind in recom takes the cake. BBS just takes so much longer timewise sense you gotta hit 90 hours of playtime with it

The main thing I remember about 100%ing BBS is Terra's full-throated WAAAAAAAUGH whenever you lose. Also, MoM is the most painful KH plat. Doing 50 different songs on Proud without missing a single note? Stock up on those Mickey summons, 'cause you're gonna need 'em.

12:25 One phrase: Skill issues While the dash from Terra only has about 3 frames of invincibility it makes you aware of his fight style which is high risk high reward due to his strength stat. Aqua and especially Ventus have invincibility frames for most of the duration of their dodges which is kinda busted since you could mindlessly spam dodge roll or cartwheel until you have a chance to damage the opponent which takes most of the fight's enjoyment.

I did the Plat for BBS twice for ps3 and ps4. Man the 1st time was PAINFUL! FRUITBALL WTF. Ice cream song minigame also had me the 1st time but 2nd time i think i had ingrained the songs I could hear them whilst I slept 😅
