I still wish Kairi was a party member, just for the final boss. I'm sick of her getting the shaft because she's the girl.

Or it could be because she's pure of heart because she's a Princess of Heart, thus is nonviolent because violence would require at least SOME darkness in your heart. But no, go the radical feminist route and think every girl main character ever should be just as capable as the men. Also, a teenage girl who has never trained in fighting whatsoever against someone as powerful as Xemnas. Yeah, that totally makes sense, they should've done that.

BlazeHeatnix I only say that because we saw her use a Keyblade in a cutscene. We saw her swinging that Keyblade around to protect Sora. Fighting for the right cause isn't something that would invoke darkness in people's hearts. Plus, remember what Even said in Birth by Sleep about Ven? "A heart devoid of darkness? Master would be most interested to see that..." And what Xehanort himself said to Terra: "Why, I did him a favour and freed the darkness inside him." Why should the will to fight imply darkness automatically? If the will to fight was born of a hatred, or desire to hurt others, it would invoke darkness. But Sora, who isn't pure of heart, tried to reason with Xemnas about the nature of the heart. "Xemnas... There's more to a heart than just anger or hate... It's full of all kinds of feelings! Don't you remember...?" If Sora's intentions in that battle were to destroy Xemnas and nothing else, then it would've invoked darkness. But that's why Sora fought: Sora fought and defeated Xemnas to protect his friends. All I'm saying is, I don't see why Kairi should be locked out. Sure, she mightn't be as handy with a Keyblade as Sora or Riku, but I just think it'd be nice to see Kairi pay Sora and Riku back for saving her in Kingdom Hearts 1.

Aidan Keogh Ven HAD darkness, and it was ripped out of him. Yes, his heart was devoid of darkness, but only because it was split into two. He only had half a heart, that half just happened to be light and he almost died from it. His will and personality however remained, and he had still been trained in the art of fighting with the Keyblade. Kairi on the other hand was BORN with a pure light heart and has lived with it all her life. Meaning she probably has no desire to fight whatsoever, unless it's to defend herself. Even as Yen Sid says in DDD, if Kairi were to be trained to use a Keyblade, it would be a "new kind of power" something different from what Sora and Riku do.

Maybe I just want her to replace Donald, is that good enough? Maybe I don't want to fight Xemnas with Riku and a duck. Perhaps we should agree to disagree on our ideologies of Kairi fighting, because Kingdom Hearts has a certain way of saying "F*CK YOU, YOU'RE ALL WRONG" through its story. I get the feeling this is just going to go around in circles otherwise. You do raise very legitimate points, and I respect that. I also appreciate hearing your side of things. Also, during the Xemnas fight, when he uses that spell on you and climbs to the top of the skyscraper, I swear it normally drains your HP, so how did you avoid that? :o

It thinks it's just cosmetic, although it could've happened during his fight with Roxas.

towards the end of the battle, roxas slammed his keyblades into riku while he was guarding with his bare hands (no weapon) so I think its safe to say that that's when his hand got injured
