man, looking back at this fight years later you realize this boss is one of those "skill check" bosses that a lot of older games back then had. it's one of the hardest fights for a first playthrough, but once you know all the openings and get a grasp on the timing it's not a hard fight.

For real!!!!! He always has that stupid wind barrier that blocks all attacks and you can't even use Learn or Jump fast enough because his attacks be hella fast!!!

This has nothing to do with Xaldin,or the fight (aside from it has to do with another organization member) BUT on my level 1 CM run Xaldin,nor Xigbar,two of debatably the most trouble giving storyline bosses weren't what was giving me a hard time,the boss that actually gave me a hard time was Roxas (Story line),ironically because it took me 4 1/2 to 5 straight hours of having a pretty good tactic to beat Roxas,which honestly felt like...20 minutes because I was strangely having fun. (Perhaps it was because I made the tactic MOSTLY myself rather then following someone elses? I don't know) Anyway I digress you have fun and keep doing what you're doing Will

You know I have the fight uploaded? Just take off combo pluses and do two guard break combos then 2 extra hits and he'll only do 2 attacks with no DM. Make sure to stay near him though

@@808GameFreak drive forms give you growth abilities when you level them up, ex: leveling up wisdom gives you quick run or leveling up limit will give dodge roll

Oh wow you just dash through his laser. I just fight him yesterday on proud and couldn't figure how to dodge that. I thought maybe reflect would've been required. Weird though you're level 1 and have all the high form abilities. Idk how to level half the forms they gain no xp.. besides valor which I got to lv6

You probably figured it out, but every form has ingame description that says how to level it. Valor gets exp for every melee hit, Wisdom for killed Heartless, Master for picked up drive orb, Final for killed nobodies, and Limit for finisher on its special abilities.

You can get three combo plus abilities from leveling up Valor form at this stage.
