A fairly in-depth showcase of the base animations aswell as the first formchange for this mod !
One thing I forgot to add to this video is that you'll still be able to use rising spiral and groundbreaker even during the formchange.

I found it a bit difficult to read that text most of the time, and practically impossible at phone resolutions below 780p. I'd recommend either altering the font or just going back to the old style.

Xehanorts combo ender is just the icing on the cake. The keyblade slam combined with him shouting 'BEGONE' is just supremely badass, it kind've makes me think of Nero from DMC4/5 surprisingly Also, the idea of freezing time on aerial recovery is just insane how it was pulled off. It really gives more credence to this character's unique status like some crazy dlc mode!

You can in some instances, yes. I tried making him be able to slow down time while still allowing you to move around freely but it would break the game so that’s a no go. It’s no problem making it happen DURING animations though.

@@therecusant well it should be, as it's still on unreal engine. and if it's unreal engine 5, the creators actually said unreal engine 5 will be MORE user friendly thant unreal engine 4, which is what KH3 uses.

It’s a recycled and toned down equinox darkest fears finisher fx but I really liked it so I figured I’d slightly edit it and reuse it here 😄 makes for a nice dark road style dark break fx

This is one heck of a showcase! It really feels like the boss we fight yet so much more! New mechanics through the guard and recover! A very interesting formchange (I know you're working one the one we all think about XD) But what strikes me more (for now of course), is the lack of wide AOE in his moveset, I almost miss them XD Though admittedly they fir Riku and Terra much more than him ;) In any case, I throw my hat to your work

Thank you! He does SEEMINGLY have less AoE stuff but dont forget that this is just his first form 😄 Also, that whip hits everything it touches and therefore has pretty huge range and radius depending on the anim. The surge and last charge finishers also have an aoe range although a little smaller than some of terras or rikus finishers 😅

Wow! This is really amazing and you work so fast! Ok a couple of things. I think he should probably use the BBS formchange effect instead of the Sora one. A couple of animations like his guard and his base(unmodified) combo could use a little more polishing. But other than that it's pretty much perfect. Oh, and what's that dark pool on the ground?

Yeah the formchange transform anim I haven’t edited yet. It will definitely change by the time it’s released. As for the pool , that’s the save point 😄 I use it near the end of the video

Where would you recommend someone begin if they were thinking of modding movesets and animations? obviously the openkh server but are there any other notable resources that are useful?

This mod looks awesome, as I expected, but I do have one nitpick, about the video itself. I'm sure people who have a computer don't have this problem, but I don't, and I watch these videos on my phone, and the tiny font in the descriptions are hard to see. I don't know if anyone else has this problem, and I don't know if it would be too much to ask if in the next update video, if you could make the font bigger.

I honestly didn’t think it would work since it’s a much longer animation . But the time slow and hp recovery make up for it. It does take some getting used to when I tried it in data battles . Once you do get used to it though it’s a blast ! 😄

Well eraqus taught them and Xehanort and eraqus had the same master so chances are Xehanort knew how to do those before TAV 😄

If everyone had their own speciality it would work . But multiple animators working together is a no go for me personally. I have an exact vision of what I wanna do with my animations and I don’t really wanna argue about it with anyone 😅 Not to mention every modder has their own stuff they wanna do which others might not care about at all. I, for example , don’t care about sora mods at all . Yet most modders mod sora ^^

@@therecusant Honestly I don’t care all that much for Sora mods either tbh. Although I do love Sora very much 😂 I’m more interested in making unplayable characters playable. Like for example being able to play as Organization 13 or Yozora would be a dream come true for me. And giving them custom move sets would be simply amazing! We have enough of Sora as it is in Kingdom Hearts but sometimes or more like all the time I find myself wishing I could play as everyone else as well. I totally understand where you are coming from thou. It just occurred to me that if people from the modding community would come together and work as a team just imagine the mods that we could have today.

Nothing I or anyone else can do about the coat. It’s just how kh3 physics are. There’s no hd models with physics of YX so coat only . Scala model doesn’t have physics either.
