There is just the perfect amount of harmony and dissonance in this remix to realize that this is a VERY dangerous and skilled opponent, and he is not always what he seems.

I honestly think it's almost like a tribute to the "Time" mechanic. The dischords against eachother and off beats make it like he's distorting time and space, along with the song.

Yup, that's cause it is slightly. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until it was too late, and I was too lazy to go back and fix it at the time. And at this point I'd rather just leave it since it's barely noticeable. Like I said, I'd really like to get some good music editing software and when I do I plan on doing this mix from scratch instead of just mashing the two versions on top of each other.

I can see it now: Gilgamesh appearing throughout the game. And in one moment where it looks like the heroes are screwed, then comes in Gilgamesh with a BigDamnHeroMoment. Then it turns into a CrowningMomentofComedy when he at first looks really cool & powerful in one second for saving the heroes but then randomly accidentally uses Excalipoor. The sword breaks, then *pause*, then everyone runs away yelling at Gilgamesh. He's like 'I can't help it! It just summons a random sword each time!'

Well, Young Xehanort himself said that there are MANY restrictions to time-traveling between different universes. He's technically dead, because he has to ditch his body and invade into another Young Xehanort in the next timeline. If where he was trying to go did not have SOME version of himself, he would cease to exist.

they probably used a different version of time travel. so far thhere are 3 ways to travel to through time in KH 1. using time magic 2. using time doorways like in timeless river 3. launching your soul through time to a point where you existed and only being gable to go in one direction for a brief period of time, than you return to your own era with no recolection of what happened.

That's what he's been doing all along, though. Nomura never planned out any of the story, it's all been written as he goes along. That being said, it's been a remarkably good story up until this point for none of it being planned. As a sci-fi geek, though, I was just sad with how the writers handled time travel.

This should be what plays in KH 3 against Master Xehanort. Perhaps Yoko could maybe add a little of Dismiss in there or something as well such as Rage Awakened. o.o

I think they used Xemnas' model for MF because they weren't sure what they were going to do with the character at the time.

I've listened to both of those tracks, and I'm not sure how well they'd "mash-up" like these two =/ Really, what I'd like to do is do a master remix, mixing together elements from L'impeto Oscuro (YMX Theme), Forze dell'Oscurita (No Heart's Theme), and The Eye of Darkness (final boss theme from KH3D, don't want to spoil the boss's name). Possibly add elements from other boss theme's as well. Unfortunately, my music software is too limiting for the task, and I don't have the money to get better

Actually, its Riku who only battles him. Sora got sucked into darkness by young xehanort so Riku had to battle young xehanort and jump into (well, actually dive into) the darkness and save his ass. Again. Sigh, why does sora always get himself into situations like this?

I'm just saying as a hardcore sci-fi geek I'm used to a lot more complicated elements being used to tell a story that involves time travel, and this just feels dumbed down to the point of the time traveling not feeling real, or making previous events in the storyline feel unimportant because any character can just be brought back via time traveling. =/

If you put the pieces together, all of the problems faced by Sora and Riku so far were due to Xehanort. When he released his heart with his keyblade to possess Terra, he created a Heartless and a Nobody. The Heartless, stealing its master's name, Ansem, possessed Riku, andgathered the 7 lights, beginning Sora's journey. Through "memory lane" and beyond, Sora searched for Riku as the Nobody, Xemnas, assembled his own 13 darknesses, causing more trouble. I will be so glad to kill this guy in KH 3!

The two tracks are less than 1/4 sec out of sync (roughly speaking). Just enough that a good ear can hear they're off, but not enough to ruin the song. Moving one track 2 seconds would throw the whole thing off so much it would sound awful.
