I'm kinda curious about this as well...is there any way to fix or reduce the stretching of 2D textures? From what I know from experimentation, full texture filtering helps (at least with the outline of sora's cutout face on the health bar), but the stretched textures on the 3D models, i'm not sure..if possible. Maybe something similar to what PPSSPP does with theirs through some kind of filter?

Filtering has nothing to do with elements being stretched due to 4:3 ->16:9 aspect ratio. AFAIK the KH wide screen patches we have already fix (as best as they can) both 2D and 3D to be properly scaled to 16:9 without getting stretched.

PCSX2 Hmmm, okay, I know what you mean, though I think I may have confused my entire message. I'm also talking about the redrawn textures that we see in 1.5/2.5 Remix, everything is smoothed out where the jaggies were originally shown (i.e on their clothing when you got closer to their character models), i'm assuming pcsx2 can't do something similar?

GokuCloneX Yeah we can't replace textures with higher res ones (although some hackers/modders might who knows), we can only render what is there already at higher resolutions and/or filter it with various methods

Hey pcsx team, could you help me, i want to enable a widescreen patch for kingdom hearts 1 final mix, but i enabled a English patch on it, will the region still be japan, meaning i'd apply the Japanese widescreen patch?

Correct, although the CRC will be different after you applied the patch, so you should rename the wide screen patch accordingly for it to work

NEXUS Radical Remove your renamed pnach file (C48634B.pnach) from the cheats folder and add it in the cheats_ws.zip file.

Hi PCSX2 team, thanks for offering that tool and thanks for this information including all the settings. Sometimes it happens that the sound ingame lags - especially when it comes to loading new scenes are spawning on a safepoint (this already comes up when I start the emulator, and the intro plays..). Do you have any fix for that?

Every config has to be different due to the nature of games and hardware. Sometimes in games you have to change settings (Burnout 3, SSX On Tour) for the games to work properly. Sometimes you have to change settings due to your pc hardware. It's always different on every pc.

Everything you need is on the 1.0.0 video guide and you can use it for 1.2.1 and 1.30 svn builds perfectly fine.

So when it comes to emulating ps2 games, I've heard that the CPU is the most important thing? I've heard that you need at least 3.0GHz to run things smoothly. Mine is unfortunately only 2.6 and most games have poor framerate

+Ausar0 Is it an intel processor? Maybe it has turboboost technology which can really help. And plus Kingdom Hearts is easy as hell to emulate compared to others.

HeartlessSeph It is. How do I check? also really? Kingdom Hearts 1? I've found the Kingdom Hearts 2 runs much more smoothly, although the framerate is still far from perfect most of the time.

I use throttlestop when I want to manually activate it, although putting your laptop in performance mode should activate it automatically when playing an intensive game. Yeah, KH2 is easier to emulate, but both games are easier to run than most others on PCSX2.

KZbin has a cap at 30fps. I know for a fact that the actual video file is at 60fps
