Caleb, dude, I have decisively decided that I do not like Maas' books because she just doesn't grow and stop being problematic, but I've been with the series for long, I need to know how it ends. After Kingdom of Ash, I'm outta that car. I'm 50 pages in and already, I've got a horrible feeling that we have another ACOWAR situation. If that's the case, I'm demanding a refund on the whole series - even if I don't have receipts - because I HAVE WASTED 7 LONG BOOKS OF MY LIFE!

Caleb Target DOES have it. It’s in the back stock room still packed in boxes though. You always have to ask an employee to go to the back to get it because they unfortunately just don’t give af about huge release days compared to Barnes & Noble who always has a huge display. So always ask cause they have it my friend. Just trying save you some gas

I have returned. I read kingdom of ash and it was beautiful. Honestly, although the ending was to be expected, the journey. Oh the journey was marvellous. It reiterated why fantasy is my favourite genre and I hope you enjoy reading it.

I really dont mean for this to be hate bc it’s not just you & I used to do it too but a lot of people are buying this book and yet are antis or claim to dislike the author but buying the book during release week or even at all is the worst thing you could do bc it directly supports the author and lets the publisher know that there’s still a high demand for her books and those like hers and will let them know to ignore the fact that her books are largely inappropriate for young readers along with issues of consent, homophobia, & misogyny. Not to mention two ownvoices books (Girls of Paper and Fire and Kingdom of a Blazing Phoenix) by asian female authors were pushed back due to publishers prioritizing the release of KoA bc they knew of the high demand it would bring. I really suggest either getting it from a library, or even ya know what before buying it, let alone during release week. I dont want to tell you what to do with your money of course this is just a suggestion, I’m still gonna anticipate your thoughts on it regardless :)

I'm also very ready just to be done. I actually would have given up after Empire of Storms if I'd known Tower of Dawn was going to be an actual book-book and not just a novella (though I surprisingly really liked that one, so it wasn't a total waste) but at this point I've put in so many pages that I can't leave off with one book to go. Then I'm happily breaking up with SJM.

It so weird! I absolutely loved every book of the throne of glass series. Found every character different and interesting. Kingdom of Ash, was in a lot of aspects as I predicted but I still thought it was enterntaing and I cried often while reading... Please make a full review of the book! Would findit pretty delightful to hear your opinion since we seem to share the same book taste otherwise :)

I was reading other books at the time and decide why not to try TOG series out? Everyone in the Booktube community was talking about it and praising it, so in my mind it must be one of the better books? Right? Boy.. But, honestly, for me ACOMAF was very special because I have read it at a time in my life that made it really special for me. Reading this year ACOFAS... I just read it for the love of the characters I had.

Are Maas’ books the greatest ever? No. But I bought the first three books of the ToG series back in 2015. And I’ve been a fan ever since. I’ve read the ACOTAR series as well. Again, all of her books are far from being the greatest ever. But for what they are I enjoy them. Finished Kingdom of Ash over the weekend. Wasn’t completely satisfied with everything, but it was a decent ending.

I just finished Kingdom Of ash (Got an early copy)....I expected nothing and I'm still let down. The only thing I'll say is that there was a SHIT TON of material that was ripped off from Lotr. If you're fan of Lotr, after reading this book you'll know what I'm talking about. Like it's not even funny, it's so fucking obvious. I consider this book worse than acowar. I used to be a huge fan of her, and I've invested so much of my time in this series. I owed it to myself to finish the books. At least now I can fully wash my hands of this series. I'm officially done with Sarah J maas. Hope you make a review soon.
