Raka reminds me of the prophets from the Bible. Like John the Baptist, Elijah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Jeremiah, Malachi and Hosea. Because by his time, and the time of Noa and Proximus Caesar, Caesar has become a Moses like figure to the apes. He gave apes the law that Raka remembers very well. Its like he reminds this new generation of apes who the real Caesar was, and what he did for apes. While some, like Proximus Caesar twisted Caesar's laws to his benefit, others, like Noa, took his teachings to heart, and contemplate on them.

I don't think it was a birthmark I recall in the movie it was a patch of his fur that got burned off by one of the electrical prods, a very symbolic marking though that he would then uphold Ceasar's original vision where his likely real descendant Proximus couldn't and became a tyrant

Raya reminds me why Maurice was my favorite character in the new trilogy. The voice of reason, wisdom, and good sense. So my only gripe with the scene is the fact there is no mention of Maurice. Only Ceasar is referred throughout the film. Ceasar was the first true leader, but Maurice was the first true elder, teacher, and trusted councilor. It should really be the order of Maurice.

Raka is the most wonderful ape ever, in the planet of the apes saga-verse. If I was ever sad or lost, hearing his words would definitely brighten up my day 😁🥲🥹
@mundo_cinefilo44132 ай бұрын
I liked this movie. But honestly, I prefer the three previous films, I mean that "Rise, Dawn and War" are unbeatable compared to this fourth film (Kingdom) of the saga. "Kingdom" is great but it is not crowned as the best in the saga, but rather it is enough for a continuation. However, something I didn't like about "Kingdom" is that they barely mention Caesar and tell us very little about his legacy. And above all, the protagonist, Noa, had no idea who Caesar was until he met Raka (a character who appears very little on screen). Literally, I felt it as a lack of respect towards Caesar. But of course, if they had focused attention on that, the fourth film would have a different plot. And we also see that there are apes (like Proximus Caesar) who pervert Caesar's teachings. They make him look like a tyrannical leader when in reality Caesar was quite the opposite. Caesar was the soul of this saga. We will always remember him, "Apes together strong."❤
